Re: Univeral Rules Document
I like the doc in general but I'd like to see blank pages removed, and a functional table of contents with page numbers for the sections, and hyperlinked to those sections.

Re: Cirith Gorgor vs. Morannon
I'll interpret it the way it was rather explicitly described by the author without any ambiguity at all, and the same way that artists have, and the same way that Robert Foster did in his Complete Guide to Middle-earth (a reference book used by Christopher Tolkien, btw): " Cirith Gorgor - Great...

Re: Cirith Gorgor vs. Morannon
The point is that forcing them to enter the site doesn't mean that much as a restriction when there are only two auto-attacks that a host of cancelers can deal with. Then perhaps the site card should be further erratified to include a 3rd attack, and/or a special that states that the attacks cannot...

Re: Cirith Gorgor vs. Morannon
Morannon (which is the name of the Gondorian Fortress (we should remember Sauron used it later for his troops, but might have changed the name) blocking the pass of Cirith Gorgor) & Ash Mountains/Mountains of Shadows etc. is an abstract way for ICE to deal with the fact that a small enough comp...

Re: Cirith Gorgor vs. Morannon
Yes, because Frodo and Sam had such an easy time just walking in . . . ;) Seriously, Cirith Gorgor's auto attacks are laughable. Either can be canceled with Dark Quarrels. That's as much a whistle and a stroll as anything else in Mordor for Hero Companies. Frodo and Sam might have slipped through i...

Re: Cirith Gorgor vs. Morannon
That's laaame --Cirith Gorgor is adjacent to Dagorlad according to Tolkien and on every map of Middle-earth there is -except ICE's! I think that they had also misplaced it at the Isenmouthe between Udun and Gorgoroth? Some "house rules" are in order, at least for games that I play with my ...

ICE Wizards Starter Set deck formulae? Gandalf vs. Saruman
I'm having a hard time finding the deck formulae for the fixed Gandalf and Saruman decks that came with the Starter Set:

Cirith Gorgor vs. Morannon
Can Hero Companies access the Cirith Gorgor site (in the Udun region) from Dagorlad? The Cirith Gorgor site card illustration depicts the Morannon, the Black Gate. The Morannon card in the basic set allows hero companies to move as though Udun and Dagorlad are connected. Did ICE change their minds l...

Re: Middle Earth : The Rewrite
I never liked that rule anyways... great job! But is it possible to use this rules without all these new gametexts? Haveing an errata for nearly every card makes it difficult to play. All of the errata in the game as it is now is too much! I've been away from the game for a decade and I can't remem...

Re: My new map
Paul: Numerous sites are misplaced on your map, or missing (like those from Against the Shadow). Most are in the correct region, but the wrong locations. Some are in the wrong regions altogether. The map that I linked to above (Middle Earth with ShadowB33.jpg 2.26 MB) has 99% of the sites in the rig...

Re: My new map
Paul, this is a nice map with a really great choice in fonts. I hope that you do correct it and offer it up again. Interesting how you put a subtle glow around site symbols, and increased the lightness of the terrain to make darker text and borders really stand out. I just looked at someone else's m...

Re: Middle Earth : The Rewrite
Implicit in the rewrite, though, was a closed set of cards, so I did not introduce new card names. Vastor would be more than happy to do such, though. ;) Understood, so even renaming Ruined Signal Tower to Lond Daer is too much? From strictly the gameplay consideration, skills have to be limited. M...

What are each of the MECCG complete sets really worth?
Hi Everyone, I'm currently in a debate over the monetary value of the MECCG sets - in particular The Wizards Limited. What are they worth? In USD or Euros? Is worth established by compiling an average of all fixed prices from dealers inside and outside of ebay? Should value consider open auctions (w...
