Re: bane of the ithil stone

Bane stops Hero Pallando's ability following NetRep #12, which reveals the top card of the discard pile. It will therefore stop other revealing actions as well. In addition to my reply above, both cards state "search through or look at", which I believe should answer your questions. Why would Bane ...

Re: Discarding Stage Resources & Their Ripple Effects

Didn't he overturn that in a later digest? I don't believe so, as I just went back through all of the ICE Digests (Van rulings) yesterday and do not see anywhere that he over-turned it. Unless there are digests other than #s 579-588 that I am unaware of. Interestingly, Van's reply that I quoted abo...

Re: Discarding Stage Resources & Their Ripple Effects

Discard this card when the site is discarded or returned to its location deck. It cannot be discarded otherwise. Hidden Haven can't satisfy Echoes. Apparently Van Norton also missed this. :? RULING DIGEST 585 I played Hidden Haven and Guarded Haven to change a site to a Protected Fallen Wizard Have...

Re: The Ring's Betrayal

Okay, my mind was just blown while reading NetRep Digest # 4: 1. Rolled Down to the Sea says: "Opponent must discard a ring from his hand or from one of his companies if available. If no rings are available as such, he must reveal his hand to you." So, do both the gold ring item cards like Beautiful...

Re: A Chance Meeting

ICE often had no idea how powerful cards were. That is one of the explanations for rarity changes of cards that are essentially the same. I agree. Muster needing a nerf erratum is another good example. Then the minion version later, Threats , was made a rare. As Konrad points out, Wizard's Flame an...

Re: We Have Come to Kill: target?

We Have Come to Kill does not create GI exceedance. To play a character in result of We Have Come to Kill there must be enough free GI, or DI. We Have Come to Kill may be used to bring in agents, but not Ringwraiths. You must have enough influence to control the character to play this card. Because...

Can WHCTK be played outside the Organization Phase if it creates a G.I. exceedance?

Re: Chain Resovling with Playing Twilight

"may be played at any point during any player's turn." means that among others it may be played in middle of resolving chain of effects, and that it may interrupt a drawing cards. (bold mine) Are you saying that you can play Twilight in the middle of resolving hand size and then continue drawing up...

Re: New to the game and have some questions.

Players can decide on a turn by turn basis and switch back and forth as necessary. Players do not decide on a turn by turn basis. If a region movement is allowed, it is decided per a company's M/H phase (and prior the M/H; usually in organization phase, sometimes at the end of current M/H phase, if...

In my games, we agree that all movement will be region movement unless stated otherwise prior to the company moving that turn. (Exception would be illegal use of region movement, ie. for Ringwraiths).

Re: Company Composition Changes

I think that the last scenario is illegal. Playing A Chance Meeting is not "company composition change" action, even if it may result in playing a character. Okay, I see your logic. So any objections to this scenario: - Elrond is controlling Elrohir with D.I. at Rivendell during the Organization Ph...

Re: Multiple copies of the same site-card

Only tangentially related, but can two companies at different sites move to the same new site on the same turn? I've been playing some solo scenarios and doing that, combining the companies once they arrive, but I'm not sure if it's actually allowed, since I only have one copy of the destination si...
