Re: WTT - 120 US Dollars for Opened Balrog Set

Depends on who's buying, but LL certainly can fetch for $60 and up, I'd say. I remember buying a *very* worn copy for $20 about 3 years ago, and considering myself lucky!

Re: Considering selling complete MEAS set (NM/M condition)

Exactly. I see a lot of Balrog sets go unsold at that price for months (and I keep a close eye on MECCG listings).

Re: WTT - 120 US Dollars for Opened Balrog Set

Ha, nice try! I don't think you'll find it for that price easily, but I know that I acquired one for $135 on Ebay a few months ago.

Re: Considering selling complete MEAS set (NM/M condition)

There was recently a Balrog's Host set (less Strider) that sold for surprisingly cheap ($153) compared to the alleged "going rate" of $300. Of course, Strider is one of the more sought after cards in the set. I think that $300 rule of thumb only really applies to sealed boxes. Opened sets can still...

Re: Considering selling complete MEAS set (NM/M condition)

I have sold non-mint R1s for around $40-45 on eBay, and they went quickly. This was several years ago. So I don't think $50 is unreasonable. For something like The Ithil-Stone or Farmer Maggot, I'd expect you would get more, as those are especially rare for some reason. That said, there's a big diff...

Re: Deeper Shadow

In the example above, my understanding is that you could only change the symbol A or B in the image below, not both. Just my two cents as a rules-novice, but that seems completely unintuitive and needlessly complicated. Why distinguish between the "site's site path" and the "site path", or between ...

Re: Deeper Shadow

Question: This would mean that the change persists for other M/H phases as well, right? So if company A plays Deeper Shadow to change region X to a [-me_sl-], then if company B subsequently travels through region X on the same turn (different M/H phase, obviously), region X will still be a [-me_sl-]...

Once a Clean the Greenwood is stored and I'm playing another copy, does the -1 modifier apply to the attacks faced while resolving the other copy, e.g. would the demon have 0 strikes?
This would seem to be covered by the clause "to a minimum of 2".

- Rugs (lol realy?) High-quality handmade rugs, like authentic Persian rugs, can cost many thousands of dollars each (even tens of thousands if they're silk). Many people nonetheless buy them because they are beautiful and can last for decades longer than any other rug. If I had a large house with ...

Re: New scenario proposal : Earendil the Mariner

Bit far-fetched to nominate Bilbo as heir of Eärendil, he only hitch-hiked on a raft down the forest river, and rowed up Esgaroth. After Frodo's parents drowned in the Baranduin, he probably never dipped his toes in water again ;-) (until his final voyage, ok that part is rather Earendil-like). Bil...

Re: DC Poll: which expansion is next?

Pity because I’d love to get ToI and WotR printed, but it would be strange to have them before RotS. What might be interesting is to rearrange the cards in these three sets (RotS, ToI, and WotR), so as to release two different (big) sets. The first would focus on introducing the missing content fro...
