Re: Mithril and the timing of "immediate"
I do not think that an action that player may take is the action caused by passive condition. By definition. There are many cards that state that player may something "when", of "if". Why (do not) use passive conditions timing in case of Farmer Maggot? Why isn't Farmer Maggots a...

Ringwraith movement
From URD: Editor's Note: The MEBA rules, which were more recent than the MELE rules and contain a list of special Ringwraith rules, make no mention of this restriction. Taken as they stand, the MEBA rules allow a Ringwraith to move to non-darkhaven sites without a mode card, subject to the restricti...

Newbie looking for some games
Hi, I am looking for some player(s) to play games with on GCCG. I don't know Balrog or Fallen Wizard rules and just now learning Minion deck rules, so some patience and teaching will likely be required. I can't find ANY local players (ND, USA) unfortunately and this makes the learning (and playing :...

Re: Assigning remaining unassigned strikes
Who chooses where to allocate these? The attacker or defender?

Playing Characters
A few questions on playing Characters during the Organization Phase: 1. Can you play Characters at a site (their home site or Haven) that you have no companies at? If yes to #1, 2. When you play the site card, do you play it face-up? 3. Can the Character move (i.e. play another Site card face-down, ...

Rescue Prisoners
I am looking through the Alatar Challenge deck and Rescue Prisoners seems like a bad card due to its restrictions. List of each (let me know if I am wrong) 1. Dark-hold/ shadow-hold that is tapped(!) 2. Auto attack, easy but can opponent play a card to modify it? 3. The wording is confusing. Do I ne...

Site/region icon key questions
Edit: scratch my first question
If a hazard creature has only Site icons (no circle), can they be only keyed to those sites? I ask because of the similarity between site and region icons.
Thanks

Re: Introduce yourself
Hi all, I bought a box of Wizards cards in 2000 I believe. Loved the cards but never got around to playing it. I played the TCG online (Decipher) but always wanted to come back to MECCG at some point. I just got SVN/GCCG up and running so if there is anyone willing to sit through a few playthroughs ...

Re: Middle Earth : The Rewrite
Bandobras, thank you for your work on this and the URD. I've had some cards for a long time and never really played a game. I decided recently to finally learn this game and I am a bit torn on using the URD or the Rewrite. There are many problems spelled out in the URD of the normal ruleset so I lea...
