Starting War-Forges
Is it okay to start with War-Forges in play as a lord player (assuming you're starting at a protected lord-haven)? I would think so, but I'm unsure whether the reference to starting Hidden Haven in play in the WH insert is a clarification or an exception.

Re: "Mischief in a Mean Way" while "Cast from the order" is
From the White Hand rules insert: PLAYING RESOURCES AT A SITE In order to play a non-Fallen-wizardresource that would normally tap a site, either the site and the resource to be played must both be hero cards or they must both be minion cards. For these purposes, a Fallen- wizard site card (or any W...

Re: Bringing a Character Into Play
I think at one point I had used the logic that the new rules don't override the old unless explicitly stated, but I ended up convincing myself of the opposite for some reason. Thanks for clarifying!

Re: Great Achievement
Wow, that's really interesting. I didn't notice that it doesn't have the duplicated "by a given player" line. Thanks for the clarification!

Play this card on your avatar if he is in play. If on your avatar, one of the following cards is worth full [-me_mp-] (if worth any; then place this card with it for 1 [-me_mp-]): Clean the Greenwood, ... Cannot be duplicated for each of the above named cards. I understand that you can't play two o...

Re: Bringing a Character Into Play
The dc rules are clear, but this is still meccg we're talking about after all! Case in point, I had been under the impression that under the dc rules you could not play a character without the presence of a company even if your avatar was not in play . I definitely like the revised rules on playing ...

Bringing a Character Into Play
Bringing a character into play. Any character may be brought into play at his home site, under general or direct influence and during the organization phase, if you have another character present at that site (even if your avatar is in play but not at the site). This seems clear to me, but given th...

Re: Wizard's River-horses
I didn't realize this. Does this mean allies also count against the count for cards like stealth and sneakin'?Bandobras Took wrote:Cancelling combat is one of the purposes of combat for which allies count as characters, so far as I know, so River-Horses will not work.

Re: Half-orcs + fallen Pallando
These MPs cannot be modified by a hero or minion resource event (e.g., Rumor of the One, Tribute Garnered, Sentinels of Numenor, etc.). However, Fallen-wizard abilities and stage resource cards can modify the number of marshalling points certain cards give. It's clear that in the first sentence &qu...

Re: Tourney reports
Org phase is probably the longest one, but the problem here is wasting time. If you control the time during org phase only, then I can stall during site phase without any problems. My comment was more geared towards people that take a lot of time because they make decisions slowly, not to gain an a...

Re: Tourney reports
I'm not sure how it is with you guys, but usually when I play the decisions that eat up the most time are organizing companies + deciding where they are moving. I think that is the best time to use the clock, because during that time your opponent isn't really doing anything. Just give the active pl...

Don't have my cards, but iirc the Balrog black bordered Twilights have a slightly different text than LE version.

Re: Star of High Hope Duplication?
Also, resource long-events, unfortunately, can only be played during the long-events phase. That limits their utility considerably.
