Re: Arda on Tabletop Simulator
Interesting! What would you say are TTS's pros and cons compared to Cardnum?

Missus Maggot Fan Card :)
I was inspired by the respect and attention given to Missus Maggot by the good people at the rather excellent So You Want to Read Tolkien podcast.

Re: Unique Cards in an Arda Deck?
So, if your opponent has played Bilbo and you also have him in your hand, you can a). discard him as useless to you, or b). go in search of his company and try to influence him away from your opponent and into play on your side, as per p.37 of the little Wizards rulebook, or p.36 of the Wizard's Com...

Re: Unique Cards in an Arda Deck?
...including an extra copy of universally great cards is a good idea. Cards like Glamdring, Wormsbane, etc. Those cards are worth influencing away. ...it's better to tune the hazards down rather than rely on combat cancellers and bonuses. Fair points on both counts. And I'm looking forward to a mor...

Re: Unique Cards in an Arda Deck?
Thanks for response Kjeld! Yes, but I don't think I mind about the big deck issue, because this is the only way I'm playing the game and all my cards are dedicated to it. I certainly wouldn't duplicate all of the uniques, though. With the characters, I'm thinking of doubling-up on some of the Dwarve...

Unique Cards in an Arda Deck?
When building an Arda deck the rules suggest no more than 3 of any non-unique card, and no more than 1 of any unique card. This seems odd to me. I was thinking that, the cards being shared, restrictions are less important in Arda. For instance, strictly speaking you would include only 3 Waybread, bu...

Re: Playing a card with Crown of Flowers that targets a character
There is such action as Marvels Told. What does the Marvels Told action do, please? I think that sage taps at the same moment when Marvels Told and that the sage must be in play and in tapped state at the moment when Marvels Told tries to resolve in chain of effects - otherwise Marvels Told will no...

Re: (Un)happy Blows
I just used it
It is, but it was clear what I meant from the context, hence the correction was redundant.

Re: Playing a card with Crown of Flowers that targets a character
Order will be: Marvels Told (if it will be unable to resolve, the two next actions will not resolve too) Discard hazard event. CC performed by Sage. Seem like you have quite different (than mine) understanding of Active Conditions. Really? It looks like to me we are saying much the same thing. Plea...

Re: Playing a card with Crown of Flowers that targets a character
And the cost must be paid before the action can be taken. Yes, but not when the action is declared. It's only necessary to pay any cost when the action is resolved. If there is no challenge to the play of a card then the card resolves immediately and the cost is paid. If there is a challenge to the...

Re: Playing a card with Crown of Flowers that targets a character
I we all agree that order of declarations is: CC performed by Sage. Discarding hazard event. Marvels Told and that the all declarations are made at declaration of Marvels Told. then we are fighting for nothing. Well, even if we disagree (I don't disagree) -- it makes no difference on gameplay... I'...

Re: Playing a card with Crown of Flowers that targets a character
Correct. And yes, they are declared.
Because "No actions may be declared to occur between these multiple actions." all of Marvels Told main and required actions are clearly (considered) declared before any opposing action can be declared in response to them.
