Duplicated wizards works as a practical thing, but after playing some games where the feeling of Wizard ownership really took root, it seemed to me that if it was possible, why not prevent Wizard duplication? People seem to like the Elf-lord approach, so let’s define what that might be. ELF-LORD OPT...

Thorsten came up with a really amazing new Wormtongue who is an ALLY. WORMTONGUE Unique. Only playable on Saruman or Théoden at any tapped or untapped site in Rohan, Gap of Isen or Dunland. When facing a strike from an Orc, Troll, Nazgûl or Man attack, make a roll: if >7 the strike is cancelled. Wor...

So here’s where we are: TAPPING/NOT TAPPING CLAUSE We are cutting this clause unless two other people make arguments. PLAY OF UNLIMITED FOLLOWERS Leon, you wrote that “Limiting TRT to havens for this option (the unlimited RW followers) should be ok, but that is not in there at the moment.” Maybe I’m...

Leon, thanks for taking the lead on making improvements on TRT. As with Dwar Unleashed and his new factions, a split-up of the card’s abilities seems to be the right approach. This might require some juggling of V Set #1 current card contents to make the TRT strategy viable in V Set #1, but more on ...

Mac Issue: OSX Not Supported on latest GCCG Update
Hey guys, Frodo here. Just so everyone knows, OSX is not compatible with the new GCCG upgrade. I didn't see a message posted about this anywhere else, and I wasted a few hours trying to figure out what the problem was (thinking it had to do with the virtual cards...), but that's the end result. Wigy...

As I've mentioned elsewhere, Horses has a strength in that it's one of the few cards that reduces the HL in the org. phase, when the opponent can't respond. Most other HL reducers must be played in the m/h phase and give your opponent the chance to play hazards in response. Actually, the HL doesn't...

Thorsten don't forget he can't be a follower, even under a Wiz. @Many Foes: Thorsten has a good point about lack of creatures being thrown, as anyone who has tried Legolas (V) will see. Perhaps there can be a tracked bonus for defeating the auto-attacks in regions surrounding Minas Tirith... at leas...

[V suggestion] Bade to Rule (for a Witch-King strategy)
Bade to Rule (V) Permanent-Event. Playable if The Witch-king is your Ringwraith. His home site becomes Carn Dum. If the Witch-King is at or moving from Carn Dum (or a site with Carn Dum as the nearest haven) and you have the following number of non-character marshalling points at Carn Dum: The Sorc...

No, but your first version of the card did. :D Maybe it's a player thing, but I don't find increases in hand-size that difficult to keep track of at all! At least, not in a constructed-deck, where you *expect* that increase to be coming. (I have used the virtual Black Horses temporary hand draw to g...

I suppose we could redo Horses. But to be honest, we'd have to be careful, because I only chose this ability for Eomer because Horse **IS** so weak. If it was any stronger as an HL-reducer, then having permanent access to it wouldn't be good. This Eomer, with original Horses, would ideally introduce...

Boder guessed a lot of my thinking behind this card. We have to remember that Boder is NOT a hobbit. As such, he would be a poor choice in typical hazard-reduction decks... Aragorn, Sam, and Bergil? Aragorn, Fatty, and Bergil? In the typical Aragorn, Sam, Fatty selection, not only can Fatty protect ...

And Fireworks (though that is not very thematic, I agree). You're right Boder, it would be nice if he could control his sons. Maybe some mechanic whereby his sons minds were reduced at the same site as him... but I'm not sure how to word this without adding way too much text to a character card. Per...
