Re: Promo cards and misprints

just went over these again - main difference for these challenge deck "Lure of " cards is that : opponent makes the roll to remove these - was that ever discussed as offical errata ? or did I just not care enough to remember it back in the days My interpretation is that "opponent" is referring to t...

Re: Introducing characters / Untapping of Havens

OK, so not necessarily within the same company, but at the same site, anyway. I understand from If your Ringwraith is in play, your Ringwraith (or a character with enough direct influence tocontrol the character to be played) must be at the site at which the character is to be played. "at the site" ...

Introducing characters / Untapping of Havens

I have a (Hero) company at a tapped Haven. Which are the options to untap the Haven site card? I see the following: - If the Wizard is not in play, a new character, forming a second company consisting of himself alone, may be introduced in the organisation phase receiving a new untapped copy of the ...

Card themes illustrated by a single artist

A few themes or groups of cards in the game have been illustrated by a single artist (instead of being spread to multiple illustrators). Here's what I found: - All the (Blue Mountain) dwarves in Bilbo's company have card art by Angelo Montaini - The Nine Nazgul have all been painted by Liz Danforth ...

Re: MECCG Art

Thank you for sharing! It's a beautiful painting.
Yes, Ted also does prints from at least some of his ME illustrations (bought 4 prints from him a few years ago), but quality is, as you say, not really high.

Re: MECCG Art

Great to see that illustration in a higher resolution, making it more impressive than on the card. Did you find that on Ted's website?

Re: Lure XX - The Quiz

#6 Smaug: Agree. However, I don't find the Deitrick illustration looks like a "red-golden" dragon. Witch-king: Yes, the Witch-king bears a crown. Yet his hair can still be seen, and they had "white faces ... with keen and merciless eyes" (LotR I), but these features are not depicted on neither the W...

Re: Angus McBride artbooks

... As for McBride, I'm kind of hoping that Pallando is featured in one of the books. Pallando's artwork is kind of myserious, and I think it would look great hung on the wall with Saruman. He's also infamously the best wizard :) AFAIK the Pallando art as from the card game is not featured in any o...

Re: Lure XX - The Quiz

Thank you, Shapeshifter, for pointing out the mistakes. I'm sorry about these (however, wouldn't have changed the results as the winner was 3-4 points ahead of the one who came second) You're right about #4 and #12. #10 should have been more specific in that "as by their card text" should've been ad...

Lure XX - The Quiz

Anyone interested could participate in a quiz during LureXX. As it was the 20th anniversary, there were 20 questions of varying difficulty to be answered. For those of you interested, here's the quiz again - and the solutions! Total number of points was 25, the winner scored about 20. Most of your s...

While you're in Switzerland... Head over to Lauterbrunnen (near Interlaken), the village which most likely served as inspiration for Tolkien's Rivendell.
