Re: MPs for Trophies

I think you are confusing Orc and Troll characters/companies rules and player scoring rules. You are right, my apologies. After going back and carefully re-reading CoE Erratum # 31, the MELE Rulebook, and the MEWH Rulebook, I rescind my previous opinion. I agree that clarifying this point is worthw...

Re: Distribution of Direct Influence

Here is a quote from one old question on the issue: Direct Influence - Thrain II is controlling a 5 mind dwarf which uses all of his available direct influence (2 points of general and 3 points specific towards dwarves and dwarf factions). If he attempts to bring in a dwarf faction, will he get the ...

Re: Fallen-wizards using characters with > 5 mind.

So the idea is to directly overturn the following from MEWH, correct? However, you may only use a character if his mind attribute is 5 or less. Essentially, yes, but directly... no. My proposal is for erratum to the CRF as mentioned earlier in this topic. Technically it would not be an erratum of t...

Re: Fallen-wizards using characters with > 5 mind.

Thanks for the contributions guys. FYI, there is also a NetRep ruling that supports the idea that FW's may use characters with >5 mind once in play: NetRep Rulings Digest #41 Am I allowed to discard a Thrall of the Voice on a 6-mind character during my organization phase (to lower my SP in the face ...

Re: Order of an actions caused by effects of cards not in play

Is it possible to combine this proposal with this one: https://councilofelrond.org/forum/viewt ... 145&t=3729
since they address very similar issues?

Will you please provide an example or two which illustrate the problem and what is being fixed with the regulation proposed? Thank you.

Re: Effects played during the organization phase, and depend on the site or site path of a moving company

Proposed regulation: "For purpose of timing an effects played during the organization phase that depend on the site or site path of a moving company are treated as action caused by passive condition." I would like to confirm... your proposal, if passed, would mean the hazard player gets to choose t...

Re: Placing Corruption Cards

I suspect your can of worms would break many things. The CRF defines Play as being from your hand by default. All cards that have placement effects after already being in play would need errata. Thrall of the Voice and Open to the Summons are some examples that come to mind. Lots of Fallen Wizard a...

Re: Icy Touch (clarification)

So there is errata in this thread. I propose the following erratum: "The prowess of one Undead attack is modified by +1. Corruption. The next character wounded by the attack (on whom a corruption card can otherwise be played) receives 2 corruption points (place this card with the character; this co...

Re: Determining a presence of a site (of given type) in game

Not definitively. "playable in region" has never been defined. I agree. Use with Long Dark Reach is a contested topic. If Smaug is playable at The Lonely Mountain, he is arguably still playable in the Northern Rhovanion region. (off topic) On topic... I'm not sure what to do with this proposal. I b...

Re: Agents and Havens

Please give thoughts on this proposal (rough draft): First, nullify the following CRF: Only Elven agents can move to a site that is a Wizardhaven. Second, change this CRF: Agents may not move to any version of a hero Haven, unless they have a special ability allowing them to. To This: Unless they ha...

Re: Adûnaphel

As a general rule, I don't feel there is a need to issue an erratum (in agreement) of every issue that the NetRep has already ruled on, and therefore I am typically against this practice (and no, I don't want to re-open the conversation of judicial vs legislative branches). However, due to the extre...

Re: Twilight

What exactly would be changing in terms of gameplay with your proposal?

Are you saying there is a notable difference between "played at any point" and "played at any time"?
