Re: VI. GCCG Nations Cup 2011 (Planning/Talk) 12.03

Round robin sounds fine to me as long as there are no more than 6 teams. For example, this year that would have meant 5 rounds for each team, which is exactly what most of us have played. This gives more games as to the teams that don't qualify for semis, so it would be the wisest option IMO. You lo...

Re: VI. GCCG Nations Cup 2011 (Planning/Talk) 12.03

BTW: MVPs 1. kikeeeee 24TP (5wins) 2. Manuel 22TP (4 wins) 3. AgusBalin 21TP (5 wins) 4. Sauron 20TP (4wins) 5. Heiner 19TP (3wins) Looks like Spain ruled this year ;-) I would also like to let the players know that 2 of us played hero during the finals. Might as well post my decklist in here but I ...

Re: VI. GCCG Nations Cup 2011 (Planning/Talk) 12.03

I would also like to thank everyone for participating and organising. For me, these have also been most of my Middle Earth games this year, and I have really enjoyed all of them, so thanks for that. About the deck-changing stuff, I also agree with Martin and Marcos here. I wouldn't worry this much a...

Re: VI. GCCG Nations Cup 2011 (Planning/Talk) 12.03

Manuel vs Heiner ends in a 4-2 for Spain.

I had the perfect draw on first turn and basically that made the game.

So yes, we are Nations Cup Winners again =)

Re: VI. GCCG Nations Cup 2011 (Planning/Talk) 12.03

I warn all my opponents now ahead of time, be prepared for a LONG game. If you don't like or don't agree with the way a tournament has been stablished, then you just don't play it. And if at last you do play, then you should stop annoying all the other players who play this game only for fun. FUN i...

Re: MECCG GCCG World Championships 2011 (Jan. 14-15/2012)

I honestly think a larger problem is that experienced players who have less time to play these days are afraid of losing because they're not in practice. I was fairly busy the last couple of months and didn't end up playing a lot of METW. Well, I went to (physical) worlds this year. I wasn't especi...

Current Nations Cup World Champion Spain is in! :D

Enrique "kikeeeee" Navarro (MECCG world champion)
Manuel "Manuel" Cabezalí (MECCG world runner up)
Agustín "AgusBalin" Lozano

Doesn't that sound pretty impressive? =P

Re: MECCG World Championships - Warsaw 2011, RESULTS

Now I'm curious about Temujin's deck. :) Well, I built Temujin's deck in an attemp of making something competitive out of Fallen Saruman. Turned out that it worked since he almost made the finals =) Basically it's Troll at Ettenmores, and Saruman playing Wizard's Ring at Isengard and lots of charac...

Re: MECCG World Championships - Warsaw 2011, RESULTS

Just so you can update the info on my games: On saturday I played Minion - Balrog against Hero/FW opponents, and Hero - Hoarmurath against minion opponents. On sunday I played Hero, Gandalf against minion; against Hero/Fallen Wizard I had two different avatars, Pallando and Radagast (although I coul...

Re: V. GCCG Nations Cup 2011 (Planning/Talk)

I remember telling somebody after my final game with Marcos, in which I lost by 2 MPs, that the fact that I was losing at the finals would probably mean that my teammates would win (since in the other three finals I won and they lost) I am very happy I was right about that :D And also happy Carambo...
