Re: Promptings of Wisdom - why is it so popular?

Well, maybe people think that because ICE said that in two digests regarding that specific topic (ICE Digests #49 and #71), but whatever, we are talking Pronptings here. Regarding PoW directly in the deck, it's probably because roadblock is probably the most dangerous hazard strategy against that sp...

Re: 9+ player games advertised, but is it in the design?

I don't have the LE booklet here, but in The Lidless Eye Companion specifically says that multiplayer is a 3 to 5 players game. I think that "1 to 9 players" is totally there for marketing purposes.

Re: Agents

Don't forget "Chill them With Fear" and Dwarf/Elf/Hobbit/Dúnedain agents. Even My Precious can be painful with that (3 strikes @ 4+2D6 if revealed, 3 strikes @6+2D6 if hidden is no joke, and he can pop up at numerous sites and move double). You can biuld a whole hazard strategy with them, ...

Re: Fun, non-serious AI Generated Deck

These are the three main issues getting solved right now in the IA development:
- IA drawing hands
- IA drawing teeth
- IA generating MECCG decks

Re: Mount Slain

By the way, there is an easy answer to the question about playing Mount Slain after using a nazgul as an automatic-attack. I wasn't looking for it but I found it. But just knowing that it's there should be help enough. Well, I didn't find it, so that's why I asked. Look-Shoot policy (look for a rul...

CRF, Rulings by Term, Under-deeps wrote: Creatures revealed as automatic-attacks do not count as creatures. Well, somehow this was hidden in plain sight for me. Thanks a lot, Konrad, that solves the issue for me (as play a creature as AA, reveal a creature as AA or use a Nazgûl permanent event as A...

Re: Mount Slain

I'm trying to make sense to the wording of this under-deeps site cards, as "use" is not a strict term in the rules (it's used on certain cards as "be able of employ", more or less, as in the magic-users, or being able to use a palantir or the Armory). The "play a criature&qu...

Re: Mount Slain

Permanent events do not attack, they create attacks (some as creature, as Ahunts, some as AA, as At Homes, maybe others?). Using a Nazgûl as AA makes me think that they become creatures, because as permanent events are unable to attack.

Re: Mount Slain

Because Out of the Black Sky works that way? It's a good example of a mechanic that mutates a Nazgûl played as permanent-event on an attack (stated as creature attack).

Re: Mount Slain

Ok, all understood, it's as I imagined (sorry for answering so late, BTW).
Secons question: Can I play Mount Slain on a failed strike from a Nazgûl used as an AA (as in certain underdeeps sites)? Or is there any change in his "status" as creature that prevents it?

Re: CoE Elections for 2023-2025

Hello everyone: Mordakai here. I started playing this wonderful game back in 1998, left it for some years due to intense work needs, and came back to it in 2012, with a total of around 20 years of experience on it. I'm kind of an experimental player, and competitive decks are not my jam. My best ran...

Re: Defeating a dragon at home without Sacrifice of Form..

Interesting that, once more, game mechanics go against Tolkien works, as Thorin did exactly that, take advantage of other guy's dragon killing work to post himself as King Under the Mountain

Re: New NetRep Team

I fail to understand what is happening here. After a very long period without any rules arbiter, finally someone has taken the floor and... this happens? CDavis, I don't think anybody here doubts your knowledge of the game, but luckily you are not the only one, there are plenty of people here that s...

Re: Leucaruth at Home On-Guard

Yeah, I was only assuming that, if at Irerock, it would be prefearable to declare it before, so you have to face the AA and then (probably) get butchered, AND after that, no way of influencing the thing. I know the revealing-on-guard-at-home-dragon is a kind of not clear thing (and another different...
