Knowledge of the enemy reads like that Stolen Knowledge. Playable on an untapped character at a Shadow-hold [S] or Dark-hold [D] or so you need an untap character at a Shadow or Darkhold OR an agaent attack that failed at any other site. This is how I read it, as this is what it says, sorry to say ...

but you can't tap a card that's already tapped

and show me where on Hour of Need it is said that the site need not be untapped (all the cards I can think of that can be played at a tapped site have that written in their text)

If so, would it require just one of the "original" characters who faced the agent to be present at the time of playing KotE? Or would all characters who faced the agent need to remain present in the company? just one of the characters would be enough - so even if all other characters got ...

but being at a tapped site prevents you from tapping it to play a faction Site is tapped after succesfull play of faction, not tapped to play a faction. Untapped site, site phase etc. all are superseded by condition described on Hour of Need. so basicaly what stops me from normaly (wihtou any extra...

I read the card wrong - that it's playable on a Shadow hold or Dark hold only after facing an agent and when his strikes fail in this case I'd say it's the same way I explained King Under the Mountain - as long that the company that faced the agent remains in play it holds the memory of what happend...

If all of an agent's strikes failed, you would receive the agent's MPs as kill MPs, wouldn't you? In that case, wouldn't the memory be just as valid? besides what Brian wrote, Knowledge of the Enemy needs to be played at the site where something has occurred (the agent's attack failed), so I'd say ...

I understand that's how it works now but it got me thinking that maybe it would be better if there was no time to respond to passive conditions - it wouldn't be that easy to counter a lot of hazards and by that the game would become more challenging

the way I saw it works you'd at least need a sage in another company to get rid of this card but now basicaly In the Heart of His Real sucks as there's always time to get rid of it... I get the feeling that more and more in-depth analysis of game mechanics make more and more cards very easy to count...

I would say no card memory is a tricky thing - in case of King Under the Mountain you have the dead dragon as a reminder so in that case it's special but in case of Knowledge of the Enemy I'd say the card memory would go only as long as the site on which you fought the agent is still in play - when ...

it doesn't has to say that the diplomat has to be on an untapped site as an untapped site is the standard playability condition for playing a faction (or ally, or item) - Hour of Need doesn't change that condition and the fact that you play it during the org phase has nothing to do with it either - ...

I think moving or already there doesn't make a difference for In the Heart of His Realm the difference is whether In the Heart... was already in play (therefore kicking in as a passive effect to witch you can respond with Marvels Told) or is played just now (when you can't target it with Marvles Tol...

there are no further clarifications/errata or any changes in Hour of Need besides the one you mention

but being at a tapped site prevents you from tapping it to play a faction so you can't play a faction with Hour of Need when being at a tapped site

(6) Joe Bisz asked: It seems that when cards refer to the word "items", they mean "all items", including unique, non-unique, hoard and non-hoard, special and non-special. Thus, Forge-master and Earth-eater could target hoard items (but not non-uniques, since the card says so) an...

true it refers to the player and not just his companies but I still think it only affects the sites he plays for his companies and not his agents' sites - as the rules about fallen wizards' movement and use of sites and the rules for Using sites for Agents are in different sections of the rules-book...

I think not
cuz even without Heart Grown Cold in play fallen wizards' agents still can't use minion Ruins&Lairs even though fallen wizards can use them - the rule simply says that agents must use hero versions of sites, so it's not based on the sites fallen wizards can/must use
