Re: RW movement rules & Balrog

CDavis7M wrote: There is no problem here. As stated on page 2, The Balrog needs to play a resource to move starter movement or region movement, which is more restrictive than movement "from a Darkhaven to a non-Darkhaven site" as in MELE. The collection of movements to non-Darkhaven sites...

RW movement rules & Balrog

This seems clear (implicitly) for most players, but I'd like to have it confirmed anyway (before creating a new Balrog avatar ;-) ) if it has been dealt with elsewhere, apologies for not digging deeper. MEBA rules p.2: A Balrog player acts as a Ringwraith player. Any card and rules text applying to ...

Re: DC card Bow of Calin Wip

Well that is valid, but the words "How telling for that to be the "DC team" response..." hint at something else, a pattern or attitude perhaps, which you do not substantiate. Anyway, enough about that.

Re: DC card Bow of Calin Wip

I'd say, if it's a rules issue, you can post it here, always good to get a perspective from experts like Konrad. But most are a matter of phrasing, like this one, so post it in the DC section. And if it's really a rules issue we can always refer to it here. yes there are different stages of DC devel...

Re: DC Wording - Where should I post/send feedback?

Well that is the way many other cards treat it, if you don't have any of said X, show hand to opponent to check it. But you have a point, one could still fool opponent by revealing only 1 (out of several). Yes hand peeking is an additional strong effect of Link of Angainor. It was considered. But th...

Re: DC Wording - Where should I post/send feedback?

the idea is to reveal all such hazards (i.e. unique and creating an attack). The any refers more to 'if any', might as well say 'all'. Or in this case, "any hazards which create." Switch 2 esses around. If that is still unclear to some, then we'll simply use 'all'. thanks for the paying cl...

Re: Middle-earth: The Northern Waste

bit late, but thanks for the comments, you know we appreciate them, and here some answers: The Saplings are "off to the side". Cards off to the side do not give MP's. Thus, the easy scenario only happens in your dreams (sorry). And yes the quest has been adjusted to allow for flipping back...

Re: The Northern Wastes -- Deck building info on regions, sites, and resources

overburdened Sorry that you feel so weighed down with the knowledge of an extra race. But hey, every piece of advice or criticism counts, so can you explain why it's problematic to you? To be fair (I'll help you out), there can be issues with a Half-race, stuff needs to be defined. For example, doe...

Re: DC Expansions: a short overview

The DC cards on cardnum will be of a quality sufficient for printing (400dpi and Indesign templates). Be aware though: 1) aside from the officially released sets (MEFB, MEDF, MENE), all DC sets are still in development and subject to change. And I mean serious change. That's what play testing is for...

Re: Middle-earth: The Northern Waste

Hmm, did expect some (enthusiastic) response to this announcement. Well anyway, to help out recognizing the flippable missions and deck building on cardnum, here's a list of which A side goes with which B side. hero missions: 1A Cembereth - 1B The Greening of the North 2A Friends of Winter - 2B Frie...

Re: Dear CoE members... here is my humble opinion

Is this forum itself difficult to navigate, or are forums archaic nowadays and shunned by people? It is indeed a pity that there is another Council of Elrond (.com). Well, the name discord for the discussion platform is aptly chosen, as people in general tend to disagree with each other on things (t...

Re: Source of this Dream Card map?

I photoshopped these maps, so I know where they can be found ;-) Everybody who participated in the First Folk and Necromancer projects received this map was printed A3 and laminated. We did have it on the svn server, but since that is no longer accessible, we'll find another way to post is somewhere...

Re: Middle-earth: The Northern Waste

As Nicolai already revealed, we have decided that there will be a joint release of Middle-earth: the Northern Waste (MENW), and Middle-earth: Morgoth's Legacy (MEML). In good DC tradition (see First Folk), we shall call this project The Northern Legacy ;-) As the poll shows, there is an almost 50-50...
