Re: CoE Elections for 2023-2025
If I might be so bold as to reply to CDavis: thank you for your post. I sympathize with your concerns, and appreciate your research in the interest of accountability. Though I haven't been on previous iterations of the CoE, my impression is that they have generally, abjectly failed because they were...

Re: CoE Elections for 2023-2025
Hello, friends - In my native tongue, my name is Ethan, though most in the community know me as DamienX207, which is both my handle here on the forum as well as on the Discord channel. I would like to formally offer my candidacy for the Council of Elrond's next term. --- My background - I have been ...

A Bedtime Story for my Son
This was based on my first game in the Summer 2022 sealed game tournament; it was such a great game (for me) that I retold it to my 7yo son that evening. Thought that y'all might enjoy it - seriously, what other CCG provides such rich stories like this?!? :) ________________________________ Once upo...

Re: Lord of the Maps - DamienX Play Guide Repository
I would like to if/when Dream Team publishes hard copies that use Northern Wastes. With that said, I’d also want their high-res Hartwig extension so I don’t have to re-create it myself, and haven’t asked them yet, so can’t speak to whether they will actually provide

Lord of the Maps - DamienX Play Guide Repository
Hi friends! A few years ago, I posted my first " one map to rule them all " as a play guide for people to print at home. Well, since then, my obsession with MECCG cartography hasn't exactly let up, and so it seemed high time to show some benevolence and start a new thread with a full repos...

Re: Aranruth / The Elf-King
Yeah, definitely a bummer to not be able to make use of Aranruth -- would prefer to play with as many DCs as possible! Ironic that the -1CP is actually a disadvantage in this case.

Re: Aranruth / The Elf-King
Oops I meant Cirdan, not Celeborn. My bad!
But -- if controlled by a Sinda, Aranruth is only 3MP + 3CP which isn't enough for Elf-king's 7, no?

Aranruth / The Elf-King
Quick rules Q: can Aranruth not be used by Celeborn or Thranduil to complete The Elf-king?

Re: Timing & Resolution of Resource Permanent Events using Untapping Effects
But y’all are skipping over the “that are otherwise playable” bit, which would normally include other actions as mentioned.

Re: Timing & Resolution of Resource Permanent Events using Untapping Effects
Right, so Annotation 24 means you can't use actions between effects like between the end of a Smoke On The Wind attack and the "tap a character to...", but wouldn't seem to prohibit actions within an effect; you could surely use other normal combat effects within a SOTW attack. As it says ...

Re: Timing & Resolution of Resource Permanent Events using Untapping Effects
(Obv when I say "cramming", I really mean Foul-Smelling Paste) To clarify because I'm confused; URD says "There is time between strike sequences to take actions that are otherwise legal." Annotation 18 and 24 both seem to be talking about during an actual strike sequenc...

Re: Timing & Resolution of Resource Permanent Events using Untapping Effects
To clarify though, could an effect be used prior to the final strike’s resolution, such as Cramming a different character in between strikes/prior to the last? This would seem to be valid as the untapped character could in theory then tap in support for that final strike (but could then just remain ...
