Bow of the Galadhrim can only target minion allies. I feel sheepish. If we're considering virtualizing it, though, keep in mind that you're going to be seeing a lot of Wolf-based Dwar decks. Still, if it were as good and useful as people are suggesting, it does the beg the question as to why...

I've no problem with Bow of Dragon Horn. Region-keyed attacks are often nasty (Ice-Drake, Fell Nazgul, Ahunt Dragons, even the lowly Cave Drake in Eriador). Reducing the number of strikes of an attack by one without having to tap a character makes a good difference.

In company versus company combat, make a roll (draw a #) before strikes are assigned for each non-unique minion ally in the company the bearer is facing. If the result for an ally is greater than the ally's mind plus five, discard the ally. I'm not sure it matters if the attack's canceled. CvCC is ...

We went off on a tangent. Fancy that in a rules forum. :)

Normal means as written on the card, not considering other card's effects. As written on the card, the items are playable if the company has discarded the minor items. Therefore I think Catch an Elusive Scent would work. On a side note, Palantir of Amon Sul says "5 Marshalling Points if stored...

I'd contest that -- normal means as written on the card, and according to the card's text, if a company has discarded the items, the gold ring is playable.

Likewise, the hero Palantir of Amon Sul is normally worth 5 MPs if it has been stored and normally worth 3 if it hasn't.

I think. :)

Automatic attacks are not keyed to anything.

Neither are they hazard creature attacks.

So Bow of Dragon Horn will not work on them for both these reasons.

The dunadain can't be cancelled, but the maia can? why's that? usually the maia can't be cancelled either (Tom, Sauron). Also along Rhosgobel lines, 2@13 would perhaps be better (never mind Saruman, Alatar could be there as well, or Pallando). Because Dunedain attacks ought to be more scary than th...

I've seen more than a few decks based on the Elven-Ring idea alone -- Gandalf goes gathering whily Galadriel at Lorien has him automatically pass corruption and Elrond recycles one of each of the three elven rings. He can often be seen around Gondor decks, as well. Others may disagree with me, but I...

It's a minion minor item: -1 to the character's mind and +1 to their DI.

You may have overlooked a few things -- First, Gandalf's Home Site is any Haven, allowing him a great deal more leeway than other Wizards. Secondly, a +1 to corruption checks is nothing to sneeze at. Thirdly, Narya in spite of its corruption checks is also not to be disregarded -- it untaps the enti...

Hidden Haven vs. Hermit's Hill

If I have played Hidden Haven on Hermit's Hill (how's that for alliteration? :)), may I still make use of Hermit Hill's special ability? Special: During the site phase, a covert company may discard two minor items they bear to make any one gold ring item (regardless of its text restrictions) playabl...

That's right, he was despairing, not terrified.

Probably from watching his older brother stomp on Nazgul after Nazgul untapped. :)

My Morannon deck went knocking an Sauron's door in a game vs. Jambo, and a few questions arose thereby. 1) In what order are the Nazugl permanent events faced? Who chooses? 2) Are they discarded after their attack? 3) If the attack is defeated, would you receive kill MPs from an enemy's Nazgul? P.S....
