Play Preferences - Hazard Players, Avatar Elimination, Sites, and MP Limit

I haven't played Arda as much as I'd like, so in putting together my own compiled ruleset for it, there are a few points which I'm unsure of and don't have the playtesting experience to determine. Perhaps someone here with plenty of games under their belt can offer some suggestions? First, how do yo...

Arda Ten Years Later

Hard to believe the first post on this forum about Arda was back in 2009, but it's true. It's interesting for me to read the rules document now, because it includes a lot of concepts I don't touch, like Elf-Lords, Arda-specific errata/text (noted in the document as being from "Virtual Card Set ...

Re: Arda Minion

I have been toying playing with the wizard specific attachments from Fallen Wizards in the regular ARDA deck. But honestly, the game plays great without them and I'm not sure what more they add. In any case there is nothing wrong with any of these ideas. Play what is most fun for you and your group...

Re: Shelob AA at her Lair

Just as the default dragon auto-attacks in the northeast don't represent unique dragons as such, the default auto-attack of (presumably Minion) Shelob's Lair is not actually Shelob. Is this true? The METD rules indicate that if any manifestation of a unique dragon is defeated/removed, the automatic...

Re: Arda Minion

I can't believe it's taken me this long to finish the edited and updated version of the rules, but here you all go. Again, let me know if you have any suggestions (though "swag hand" didn't make it into this one :P). One final question: I mentioned in the "Cards that should not be inc...

Re: Conjecture of why this game has crappy rulings and no errata

I have a PDF file on my computer called "Middle Earth: The Rewrite," though it doesn't have any author attribution beyond what is implied in one of the introductory lines of text: "During and after working on the Universal Rules Document, it struck me..." That is, I am assuming t...

Re: Storage Solutions

I just use the BCW shoe boxes and super shoe boxes for my loose cards, sorting in the order given in the (semi-?) official card lists. This does have the unfortunate side effect of the Wizards set only being categorized by characters, resources, hazards, and sites (while the other sets are broken do...

[FS] Singles from METW, MELE, MEAS, MEWH

As the title says, I've got a number of cards I'm looking to sell. I've listed the rares below, but I've also got plenty of commons and uncommons that I haven't listed. Almost all of these cards came directly from boosters and were sleeved immediately, so they should all be in top condition. These c...

Re: Lidless Eye Players Guide

You could try contacting them to see if they'll make an exception. I tend to list items on eBay as only shipping to the US to make things simple, but I've shipped internationally before, as long as the buyer is willing to pay the extra shipping costs.

Re: Large Gold Lidless Eye Dice FT/WT/WTTF

Man, I would love to pick up those gold dice just solely because of FOMO, but I've already got a pair and don't need them, unfortunately.

On an unrelated note, I like your playmat. Is that the full DC map on it? Do you have the image file you used to get it made?

Re: Considering selling complete MEAS set (NM/M condition)

It seems like Balrog decks do very well and are annoying to play against. There was never a chance to balance against them. As a player, I'd be happy to play Balrog. That's good information, but I meant the pre-constructed decks specifically; I can't speak to the alignment in general. Are there dec...

Re: Considering selling complete MEAS set (NM/M condition)

Exactly. I see a lot of Balrog sets go unsold at that price for months (and I keep a close eye on MECCG listings). The thing to consider too is that perhaps it's a fair price, but people are just unwilling or unable to spend that much money at once, so they don't. And who besides collectors really ...

Re: WTT - 120 US Dollars for Opened Balrog Set

Aren't just Longbottom Leaf, Beorning Skin-Changers, and Unabated in Malice (all from Shadow-deeps) together worth more than that?
