Re: Gift of Comprehension

Hi Guys, thanks for your comment. Initially, we had a discussion during and after some Arda games and some Hero sealed-decks at this year’s Lure of MECCG. We came across that those cards are not useful but in a crap game. So I had the idea of giving them an erratum, which was supported by some. I un...

Re: Lure 2019 retrospective

Was minion scenario often played in Hamburg ? As far as I remember it was played not that often. Only some of us brought minion decks at all and then you need to play against someone with a minion deck by chance. But there was no spirit to push playing minion scenarios, so that's something which co...

WITHDRAWN - Tales of the Hunt

Playable on a Man at a Border-hold [-me_bh-]; tap the Man. Bearer my tap to untap any character in his company. Bearer makes a corruption check. [2 corruption points] I have never seen this card usefully played. Untapping of characters may be cool and useful, but the pay for it is too high: - tap t...

WITHDRAWN - Mathom Lore

Playable on a Hobbit at Bag End; tap the Hobbit. During organization phase, bearer may tap to choose a minor item from your play deck or discard pile to place into your hand. Reshuffle your play deck if it was used. Bearer makes a corruption check. [2 corruption points] I have never seen this card ...

WITHDRAWN - Lore of the Ages

Playable on an Elf at a Haven[ [-me_ha-] ]; tap the Elf. When facing an attack, bearer may tap to give +1 prowess to all characters in his company against the attack. Bearer makes a corruption check. [2 corruption points] I have never seen this card usefully used in tournaments. If you take a black...

WITHDRAWN - Gift of Comprehension

Playable on a Dúnadan at a Haven[ [-me_ha-] ]; tap the Dúnadan. Gives bearer sage skill. [2 corruption points] I have never seen this card usefully used in tournaments as it just gives an additional skill (Sage) for two (2) corruption points and the character needs to be tapped. Also this card do n...

Re: Lure 2019 retrospective

It looks like you had real fun.
Sorrily I could not particitpate as I was way too tired after the long Crap Game and had no time to prepare an own deck.

But now I have the chance to prepare myself with the Hamburg players.

Re: Hamburger Scenario Tournament : The International Rules

Seeing new vote for changes to the scenarios, could we, perhaps, prohibit the infuencing away opponent's cards (characters, allies, items, factions). Most of the scenarios depend on certain cards, so it would be unfair to lose only because the opponent succeeds in influencing away a card. With your...

Re: Fallen scenario proposal : Restore the might of Arnor

The original spirit we made up this scenario tournament was the idea to have something where unexperienced players (also newbies) can take place but also experienced players get more fun due to not playing the very same "winning" deck every time. Thus in the rules (until now) you may not p...

Re: New hero scenario proposal : The Servants of Manwë

I like the idea! For an easy game it should be OK to have and 15 Birds in 5 Firtrees played only once. The main thing is to have the allies and the faction in play at the end. The idea to have something with "information" played is also nice and often not that useful, which makes the scena...

Re: New hero scenario: the treason of Isengard

Hi All, the idea of sequential play is quite charming, but already for some scenarios this is needed (Gollum's fate) although not explicitly mentioned. And sequential play relies heavily on the chance of drawing the cards in the needed order. I would try to minimise the number of sequences here and ...

Re: Hamburger Scenario Tournament : The International Rules

Hi Dominic,

thanks for the new rules. I think they improve the game very well. I may conviced by that in order to play "my" own game next year at the Lure :-)
But now I have to translate all of it back to German as I am in great delay of that ...
Best wishes

Thorsten
