February 1, 2025

Present: Alvaro (Mordakai), Bruno (Bruce), Ethan (DamienX207), Felipe (fisilva1), Marc (sarma72), Miguel (Siraynad), Ralph (Goblin King)

1. Welcome and introductions!

2. Election of Chair and Vice-Chair
Ethan was nominated for Chair – Passed 7-0
Alvaro was nominated for Vice-Chair – Passed 7-0

3. Review of agenda

4. Committee assignments and initial tasks

a. Rules Committee
Assigned committee members – Ethan, Felipe, Bruno, Miguel (Ethan responsible for organizing)
- TASK: Create plan for card-by-card rulings and digests.
- TASK: Discuss with Organized Play committee whether certain cards/alignments are overpowered in the current tournament environment.

b. Organized Play Committee
Assigned committee members – Ralph, Miguel, Marc (committee will discuss who best to organize)
We voted on the community proposal to host in-person Worlds in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, in August 2025 – Passed 7-0
- TASK: Review CoE Tournament Policies to ensure that they are upheld for all CoE-sanctioned tournaments moving forward.
- TASK: Create plan for 2025 tournament timeline and structures, including in-person Worlds and Online Worlds.
- TASK: Reach out to wider community about our members hosting their own CoE-sanctioned tournaments!
- TASK: Discuss creation of online CoE ranking database.

c. Public Relations Committee
Assigned committee members – Felipe, Alvaro (Alvaro organizing)
- TASK: Contact Kodi to discuss moderation of forum moving forward.
- TASK: Meet with thenamelessthing about his idea to have the CoE assist with moderation of the MeCCG Discord server.

d. Game Promotions
We discussed combining Game Promotions into the former Dream Card committee as a unified effort to grow the game and player base, while still supporting the Dream Cards project.
Assigned committee members and lead organizer – Ethan, Marc, Ralph, Alvaro (Ralph organizing)
- TASK: Discuss ways to make hard-to-find physical cards more accessible for new players.
- TASK: Discuss ideas for global outreach efforts.
- TASK: Reach out to Dream Card team to discuss their current plans and support needs.

e. Web-Based Initiatives
Assigned committee members – Ethan, Bruno, Alvaro (Bruno organizing)
- TASK: Discuss how to create translated versions of as many web-based resources as possible (e.g. the new CoE tournament rulebook, the CoE website, etc.).

f. Administrative
Assigned committee members – Bruno, Felipe (Bruno organizing)
- TASK: Discuss how to finance CoE initiatives.
