Session problem

I noticed you have changed the site url and now when you login and if you return the site without session ID on url you are logged off. Before the change you stayed logged in with basic url like https://councilofelrond.org/forum/ when you had "remember me" checked.

Dominik recently ran a security update. I'd guess this is related to that. I will ask him to post a reply.

FYI - Due to the security update, Tapatalk is currently not working either. We are awaiting a response from them.

I still get logged out regularly, though not as quickly.

Also, is there a way to keep the old URL and have it redirect to the new one? By removing councilofelrond.org/forum as a root URL, hundreds or thousands of links across the internet have become invalid.

We are aware of this. Dominik is working on a global fix first. If that doesn't work, then I will have to go back and manually fix each individual link. Since that will be very time consuming, I am hoping the global fix works.

For use in Worlds this weekend, it may be easier to simply view the results of the voting in this forum:

instead of the officially issued errata forum (since the links don't work in the master index). The issued errata are still present, but they aren't listed in the titles of the threads, so you would have to search for them.

This has been fixed. All of the links that previously worked prior to the most recent update should now work again. If you encounter any that don't, please let me know.

I believe so. I tried a link on BoardGameGeek pointing to the old style URL and it worked, so hopefully that's the same across the board.

I have noticed that while using the site on PC you don't get logged out but while using on mobile you get logged out every couple weeks. I don't know if this is something to do with the site or device. Though I used the site with same device before the update.
