So you don't get -5 MPs for eliminating the wizard in this kind of scenario?

It was played first time but according to WH rules book you dont get -5. There is written if you dont choose to convert your wizard is eliminated (and get -5 instead of losing game), in another case your wizard became fallen. Highwayman was playing some saplings etc and later in org phase transfer until wizard fails his cc

and why should it be banned? we use nearly all of the optional rules on our tournaments (i think he only optional rule we don't use is tapping to face 2 strikes, from METW rulebook) so why not this one? especially cuz this one is the most fun i think as it let's you get around those pesky limitations of what cards normally a fallen wizard player can't include in his deck

If you dont want to fight with my (and not only mine) opinion i can agree its nice to use this optional rule. But cards forbidden for FW should be also forbidden for this kind of deck. You can have VERY strong characters, 3x each non unique resource etc so putting forbidden cards is too powerfu. You should also remember your opponent cant use anti-FW sb so its very hard to stop converted deck.
