Hello everybody!

Rumors have become true!

The MECCG European Championship will be held in Munich from 17th to 19th October.

With the common Suisse Tournament rules (prelimanries on Saturday, Final four on Sunday) we will determine who takes the crown of Europe.

The fee will be 10 Euros for both days.

The tournament is limited to 30 players, so quickly register by sending me an Email to styro(a)web.de or via PM in this forum. Also do so if you have any questions about travelling, accomodation etc.

If anyone is willing to host side games like ARDA or Dream Cards especially on sunday please contact me it would be appreciated.

There will be food and drinks in the location at good prices. The owner is an excellent cook by the way and if youre looking for tasty wines youre in the right place. For tasty beer youre in Munich in the right place anyway...

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of visiting the European Championships.
I'm a collector not a player and was hoping to trade or sell some cards.
I have double rares from all series except the Balrog.
Is there any interest? If so i might consider a trip to Munich!

update 11 september

i have:
206 Wizards unlimited rares
57 Wizards rares English
110 Wizards rares Dutch
59 Dark Minions Rares
92 Against the Shadow rares including 7 R1's
80 Lidless Eye rares
45 White Hand rares
53 Dragons rares, a complete set and a set missing only 1 card (rare)
54 promos
A near complete Middle Earth The Wizards Starter Set missing only 2 point markers.
A Ringwraith Challenge deck (adunaphel) in box (opened)
A Wizard Challenge deck (gandalf) in box (opened)

lots of commons & uncommons from all series

Cheers
Derk

Whats the system we play? 4-5 rounds on Saturday and finals on Sunday? Or just rounds?

4 rounds Saturday, final 4 on Sunday.

Tournament starts at 10 AM. So round 1 at 11 AM, lunch, 3 rounds then side games and drinking. Thats the plan so far.

Does that mean we play 4 rounds in all cases? Or do we play 5 rounds if there will be more than 16 participants?

Hi Martin,

sure you want to start at 10 ??? What is the reason, we had to finish at a fixed time on Saturday?!
Since I have to work on Froday it makes it very hard for me to come, earliest I can arrive with my train from cologne is 10:27 a.m.
This means I could be at the play location at about 11 a.m.

Please let me know if it is possible to start at 11 a.m. If not I will try to find an other option (I wonder if there is one).

Cheers

If ten is too early for some players we surely start later. 10 is good for the option of playing a 5th round. And its tournament start, not the start of the first round. first round would start at 11.

Please let me quickly know if you need food supply at the venue. We ought to know how many meals we demand.

The extra cost would be 30 Euro for 3 meals (Saturday lunch and dinner, Sunday lunch).

Drinks will be at 2 Euro (Beer, Coke etc.)

Great, that is fine! If the train is on time it arrives at 10:27 , S16 takes 20 minutes so I will be there at about 11 a.m.

I would order food for Saturday lunch and dinner, sunday hmmm would prefer pre-order it on saturday after the semis if possible.

See you on Saturday!

cheers

The guys have to calculate how much they must buy. So you can either have food or not. But 15 Euros for two good meals is still a good deal. Or you get food for two days and in case you look for something on your own or see how it goes.
