I’m planning a homepage which shows all results of all official MECCG championships (Worlds, European and Nationals) since 1996. I will display the rankings 1 to 4 only with name, nationality, points (semifinals/finals) and alignment.

For this I’m still missing lots of results. If you can help out with some or if you don’t want your name to be displayed please mail to fallen (dot) gandalf (at) gmx (dot) net.

Any information will be helpful! Thanks a lot!

Please feel free to comment on my plans for this homepage.

edit: The site is up, please check my webpage (http://www.fallen-gandalf.net).

Atlanta 2004:

Mark Alfano (minion, 13 TP): defeated Joe Bisz 6-0, Wim Heemskerk 4-2, tied Josh Grace
Joe Bisz (hero, 2+??): defeated by Mark Alfano 0-6, Wim Heemskerk 2-4, ???
Wim Heemskerk (minion, 6+??): defeated Joe Bisz 4-2, defeated by Mark Alfano 2-4, ???
Josh Grace (hero, 3+??): tied Mark Alfano 3-3, ??? ???

I think Wim beat Josh. I don't recall how the game between Joe and Josh went.

I think the rankings were: 2nd Wim, 3rd Joe, 4th Josh, but if someone remembers the exact game outcomes that'd be better.

On the website it says that I won Dutch nationals in Tilburg. Although that would have been nice, it is not true. I won the semi-finals, but, as a foreigner, I was not allowed to play in the finals. I think either Alphons or Wouter won finals. My strong feeling is that it was Alphons with a Balrog deck.

Alright, Mark - updated!
Alfons won the finals. Is "your strong feeling" with his Balrog deck around 100%?
You don't remember 3rd and 4th place, do you?

It's been a long time since I posted news about my webpage in this forum. This doesn't mean that nothing happened during the past years :wink: I always try to keep the webpage up to date. This post is meant as a reminder :D .

The site provides results of tourneys from the following categories:

World championships
European championships
National championships
Online championships
Dream-card tournaments
Special events (like Nordic Cup)

A great project Shapeshifter! I was in the North American Championship in San Francisco. Brian "No Cheese" Wong was playing a hero deck that killed my wizard and four party members in two turns. He took me down 6-0. I have a picture of him holding up my dead characters wearing his cheese hat. LOL!
I also know Gene Berry was playing hero, because Gene always plays hero. When I see him in November, I will ask him what the winner was playing that day.

Wow, that would be pretty cool if you could ask him.

Today I made a long overdue addition to my webpage. In the category Special events you will find results of the 2-deck general opponent tournaments held at Lure of MECCG.

At lure 2013, Patric and I were tied with 19TPs (he defeated me on a tie-breaker match). I'm not sure about the 3rd and 4th place TPs.
I played Balrog vs hero/ Minion vs minion.

I was toying around a bit with all those collected results. Finally I came up with a ranking system to find out the most successful MECCG players ever!

Here you will find the Top 10 of the Most Successful MECCG Players Ever: http://www.fallen-gandalf.net/results/ranking.html

A player will receive a number of ranking points (RP) according to the following system:

- Reaching finals at Worlds or European championship = 1 RP (ranking point);
- Worlds: 1st = 5 RP, 2nd = 3 RP, 3rd = 2 RP, 4th = 1 RP;
- European championship: 1st = 4 RP, 2nd = 3 RP, 3rd = 2 RP, 4th = 1 RP;
- Lure of MECCG: 1st = 4 RP, 2nd = 3 RP, 3rd = 2 RP, 4th = 1 RP;
- Nationals: 1st = 2 RP

Any thoughts about the ranking system are welcome.
