It is finally here!

The ultimate contest for Gccg/Metw players: The Fallen-wizard Sealed
League Cup! Get your partner and make a team of two. Then start
collecting cards and improve your decks with extra cards after each
round. Swap cards with your teammate to combine card to the best
possible decks for your team together. See rules at:

The tournament starts at Saturday 3rd July 2009 at 12:00UTC. You MUST
preregister your team to wigy any time from now on before the
tournament starts. Before reqistration is accepted, your sealed
account must be clear and you can't buy any cards to your sealed
account until tournament starts. The first round must be played before
Monday 13th July. We interpret game phase (see rules) loosely: you can
play as soon as you are ready. No need to wait until Friday. However,
after first match has been played by team, giving cards is not allowed
anymore for that pair. The second round has an exception because of
Worlds and is two weeks. Games of the second round must be finished by
Monday 27th July.

Remember that this is also part of The Africa Lottery. By playing you
can win a ticket to the Soccer World Cup 2010.

If nobody is strongly against, i add new formats for league sizes 9-12. I just figured that it can go as a 3 groups, 2 goes to next round from each. Second round have 2 groups of 3 teams and another league is played. Top 2 plays finals/bronze.

We are 1 team short of this.

Also: let me refine a game timing a bit. Instead of playing only weekend, we play any time pairs agree and set the following rule: "No card transfers are allowed between matches of team members during a round." If it appears that it can be enforced well enough, i will trash whole weekend thing from the rules for future as well.

This change is not opposed by anyone i'm sure.... originally there was a rule to give ranking points to top-4 for small league. However, i think, why not top 8 as usual. Just determine order of other teams and split point as in a case of tie normally. After play-off teams the next position is shared by the first position not qualified from league groups. Then second etc...
