Hi guys,

it`s about time! Hear the call of your nation and find mates for the Nations Cup 2010™!

The Nations Cup™ is an online tournament you can play with your friends as a team (3 mates each team) against other teams from all over the world. You still play 1-on-1, tournament points are accumulated. You have 1 week to appoint your opponent. After that you report the result to the commander in chief (that`s me ;-) ).

Reach finals and become world champions!

The Nations Cup™ is going to start on 1st of January (first round in 10 days, all other rounds 7 days).

All infos about last year (rules, pairings, results) are here:
http://www.councilofelrond.org/forum/vi ... .php?t=925

More detailed information about 2010 will follow. Sign in by posting in this threat or PM me or E-Mail me or find me at GCCG™.

If you dont know what GCCG™ is about follow the link in my signature and step into a new world of MECCG™ playing. Ok, its not so new anymore but still as fun as it ever was!

Teams so far:
Flaneltina
Spain
Iberoamerica
Germany
Poland
Austria

well, since Mark has some hard time to find time to play, and i haven't seen charles or dave (wacho) around anymore, Brian agreed to join the most Evil team ever... Dunno though if there will be USA team because i saw some new Americans around lately

I'm starting to build an italian team in the next days...

In the meanwhile, I'd like to suggest a little amendment to the tourney format we used last year: i.e. playing 4 rounds in case we have more than 8 teams...

I have also voted for 4 rounds as long as there are 8+ teams. I'll also give some more information about spanish in the following days ;)

i wonder what is happening with the other classic teams like poland, germany, austria, finland, etc...

BTW, i'd also like to suggest the option of changing decks for finals, like it is done at Worlds... Could be a nice option... Maybe another poll?
