It is time once again to play the ultimate sealed league in
Gccg. FWSLC 2010 is starting immediately after Gccg World
Championships 2010. Read more about the event here:

https://www.akustiko.fi/gccg/?GameRules//1/2.1

You are required to register (either team or individuals waiting for
team) before the final whistle of the World Championships. You can
register:

1) Gmailing to tommi.ronkainen.
2) Tell wigy on Gccg.
3) Reply to the Council of Elrond forum thread.

Tell your gccg-nick and who is your partner if you already know. If
you are not yet ranked in Gccg-ranking:

https://www.akustiko.fi/gccg/

you need to tell also you full name and your country. If you register
alone, i will pair you. In pairings i try always get the pairs from
single country. Also, pairing is done so, that the higher ranked
players are paired together.

Schedule:

Sunday November 21st (After championships)
Tournament starts immediately after the world championships and you
can enter the sealed mode and buy cards. You are not allowed to
restart sealed once entered with correct amount of money. You are not allowed start until entered with correct amount.

Tuesday November 23rd GMT 18:00
Final deadline for registration. After that, final pairs and
grouping is done.

Wednesday November 24th GMT 18:00
Wizards must be declared to the organizer. Matches are now
listed. Anyone failing to declare the wizard, is not allowed to
play with the wizard at all in their first match.

Monday November 29th GMT 18:00
Deadline for match results (MP-score) must be announced to
me.

After that wizards are declared by Wednesdays GMT 18:00 and
rounds end at Mondays GMT 18:00 until 2 week christmas break
starting on 20th December. More detailed schedule is published
after final number of participants is known.

WELCOME! For those who missed it last year, i really recommend to try
it this year. Once it gets started, it is the best sealed experience
ever!

One important note about rules:

The old council calling rule of 20MP has been dropped from early rounds. Now council is called normally on 25MP!

That may make first one or two games sweetly painful, but it makes whole ruleset much clearer, when you don't need to remember non-standard exceptions. Other change is winning-by-20 rule, which gives now extra point if you win by 20 or more MP-difference. So, 4-0 is now possible. Also, after seeing high quality of the decks in the last rounds and still having my high hopes of b_took playing for team USA, there is now also The One Ring -win rule giving straight 5-0 (25-0 MP + 1 extra).

Some stupidity that has been dropped (already during the last tournament) is "hot hours" and "game and trading phases".

Summary of rules can be squeezed in 3 easy steps, that should cover all necessary info for newcomers:

- Don't drink and trade!
- Don't trade or buy between your match and your team mates match.
- Report raw MP-score after the match instead of any other scoring system like swiss.

First pairings are in. Feel free to play. Don't worry about a bit funny stats. My web program is by no means ready for real use, but i use it still. Couldn't display matches in any other way than putting 0-0 scores in, which displays a little bit funny.

Hmm, i just realized that there is downside of secret trading. It makes cheating possible :)

So, need to add rule that BETWEEN your team's matches, you are not allowed to be on the table with your teammate when BOTH in sealed mode. The implementation of the secret trading requires both being in sealed-mode. You can still have strategy meetings. Just one of the players must be non-sealed.
