Hello all,

the 2007 MECCG season is going to end soon and this means the 2008 one is about to start!

Again we like to play the GCCG Nations Cup to bring the players of the (virtual) world together to pit their strengths against each other. The rules are posted in the threat below. Please use this threat here for the crap talk to keep the other one concise.

Rules/Pairings/Results
http://www.councilofelrond.org/forum/vi ... =3589#3589

Please feel free to contact miguel or me for signing in. Even if you dont know which country you could play for or even if your country has formed a team so far. Perhaps you could form a 2nd one....

You dont know how to play online? No problem, buddy. Just download the gccg stuff and install. Normally there will be someone around for a short tutorial. If not feel free to contact me. After 2 or 3 test games you will be able to play just as normal!

Download GCCG here:
http://gccg.sourceforge.net/

Good luck and have fun !!!

I appreciate very much that there is a Nation Cup one again.

Reading the post I found the following:
The CoE has approved an additional pre-qualified slot for Worlds 2007 for this tournament. The winning team may select any one of their three players to receive the prequalification.
Is that information still correct?

Hehe, actually I am not so sure. Just copied and pasted the text of miguel`s post last year. So as "Worlds 2007" are past its obviously not so correct anymore.

i edited it in the post.

@Admin: You might like to move this threat out of the Event section. Seems like I`ve been a little tired when posting this...

Team Spain looks a bit weighted. World Champ, National Champ, man oh man.

Take a look at the top three names in the GCCG tourney, and you'll find an astonishing resemblance to team Spain. :)

Hi all,

as i noticed its seems that its not 100 % clear to everybody how this tourny works. (somebody said to me: "Im sorry I cant play on January the 1st." lol, so do I... :D)

You may not play on a certain day but in a certain week! Whenever you like and have the time. There is a whole week time for each round. Just appoint it with your opponent and have fun!

Alter tuk on the other topic wrote:* The tournament will start 1st of January. You will have one week to finish the game assigned to you. Contact your opponent to decide when you will play the game. You need to report back to miguel (mipevi@utu.fi) with the results by the following Monday morning, 8 AM (GMT). I will post the new pairings asap, and again the deadline is the following Monday 8 AM (GMT).
:D people wants to start right now!!!
