Hello all,

a year has almost passed again.

That makes me think of the Nations Cup 2009!

Feel free to contact me for signing in. Even if you dont know which country you could play for or even if your country has formed a team so far. Perhaps you could form a 2nd one....

You find the rules here:
http://www.councilofelrond.org/forum/vi ... =8106#8106

You dont know how to play online? No problem, buddy. Just download the gccg stuff and install. Normally there will be someone around for a short tutorial. If not feel free to contact me. After 2 or 3 test games you will be able to play just as normal!

Download GCCG here:
http://gccg.sourceforge.net/

Good luck and have fun !!!

Team Flaneltina is present! We just need a replacement player for Kris, but that wont be a big problem.

Asathor agreed to be the 3rd guy, he did very well at Argentinian nationals (second place) and at Ibero-America tourney (3rd place)... I think he is a perfect replacement for kris :)

The problem with me being on Team USA is that Sauron would like to win. :)

Hi all,

as a new member to the Gccg community I believe we should still at least try to play what is meant to be played in the tournament's name:

Nations Cup:

So I still believe this event should not be play with your buddies, but with players from your nation,

otherwise its name would be "buddy cup" or Triplett Cup or whatever else.

As I see Argintina shouldn't have a problem getting a team, as there are plenty players besides Marcos;

Alsoguys try to do not only for yourself, but for your Country to make others proud, I wouldn't think of playing for another non-german or non-dutch team (as I only live 25 mins to the border)

just my 2 cents

indeed that was the intention at a first place, but always happened that some team can't get 3 players. At the first time i was the only Argentinian player in GCCG until i get some friends into it a few months ago... At first nations cup Bert, Kris and I wanted to play, but neither of us had 3 players to make a team of or own nation so we made a team and we had a lot of fun by reaching semi-finals (twice)...
At second nations cup, it happened the same, but not only with my team, but with Germany and Italy too, so we had 3 teams made of "buddies". Then we thought, isnt it the real intention to have fun playing after all?
Anyways, i wont mind playing at an entire argentinian team, but would really like to keep playing with team "flaneltina" because for me, it is fun granted...
