Transfer of some stuff

OK, CoE website is finally the right place for most of the MECCG stuff. Nice, useful and FREE!

What about transferring here some stuff like:
1) Chris Cable site. We should speak with him.
2) All the MECCG archived sites (sites no longer updated, as well as 2006 WC and North Am C)
3) Worlds 2007 LINK very BIG on the homepage, not only in "international tournaments"

AFAK, Josh is hosting (and backuping) all the stuff, so why not?

I'm asking to CoE: is tecnically and politically possible?

Tecnically --> I don't know

Politically --> I think it is time!

Some sites are already being moved (Worlds 2004, NA Champs 2006, Lair of the Morgul Rats). I think Josh will be able to move everything needed in time. What's the top priority now? Chris Cable's site?

IMHO: Chris Cable's site and the Worlds 2007 site are 1st to be moved here. They are visted with a high frequency, esp. Chirs' site.

Yes, Chris' site is the priority imho.

And very simbolic of the "wind of change", too.

a good idea might be subdomains like

chris-cable.councilofelrond.org
worlds07.councilofelrond.org
....

Josh, can you do this?

Do we still want to do this?

Yes, we can do this quite easily. As far as if we want to do this now, I'm up for waiting. People expect them to be at meccg.net, since that is where they've been for quite some time. We can always link to them (and even create the subdomain worlds.thecouncilofelrond.org and have it point to wherever the current worlds is hosted). I don't see a problem with leaving them be unless something happens that forces our hand.

But yes, it is doable if we want to push forward with it.

Well, looking on how things are gone, maybe now is better to wait.
I think a change of site wouldn't be understood now, and maybe is effectively better not to do it.

I agree.
