I know it's early, but it never hurts to start early. Where might we hold worlds next year (2008)? A little bird told me there were stirrings in Belgium and the Netherlands. Can anyone substantiate those rumors? Does anyone know of other potential bids?

I propose Antwerp for Worlds 2008.

We have beer, vote for us.

Substantial enough, or do I have to do a whole marketing speech here now?

I finally caught the owner of the Outpost Gamecenter yesterday evening ... as long as Worlds 2008 is not planned during a prerelease Magic or something similar, I can have the entire cellar for several days free of cost, at the condition that we consume food & drink there ... like that would be a problem :P

What is this?

A tournament room of 160m2 with 120 seating places

Open all days
monday to thursday open from 11h30 AM to 4h00 AM
friday saturday 11h30 AM to 6h00 AM
sunday 11h30 AM to 4h00 AM
Big tournaments: can exceptionally open earlier

Couple of hundred meters away from the Town Center, all the big touristic attractions and more restaurants and pubs than you can shake a stick at!

Haven't inquired after lodgings yet.

Only 20 people usually come to Worlds !
But may be more could come if attractive side-events are organized.
Everyone is not interested by pure competition !

Hey, if they're friendly enough to offer the entire room, I'm not going to say "I only need half, you can fill theo ther half with Yu-gi-oh players :P"

but it wouldn´t be wrong to have some side events in addition for the casual players. in fact i think, it has always been so.

What, are you going to tell me how to run an event like this?

Because if so, that would be much appreciated :P
