A lot of people are signing up for the CoE forum nowadays. I think that we should discuss making our discussions open to the public. As I see it, there are three ways we can go:
(1) Only CoE/national representative folks can see and post here.
(2) Anyone can view the CoE discussion, but only members/national reps can post.
(3) Anyone can see or post.
My opinion is that (2) is the best option. It allows people to have a look into the discussions and debates of the CoE without making us prone to going off-topic all the time.
Thoughts?

I like Mark's suggestion (option 2), with maybe this addition:
If we need to, we could keep some of the boards closed (like maybe the Worlds boards should be closed until after the event? It would be a better surprise then).

I agree with (2), too.
I think many of our troubles in the past were because CoE newsletter was not public and also the archive, once opened, was very difficult to explore.
Now that we have this wonderful site, I think ALL the stuff should be public. This could also mean, as Josh said, that some topics can eventually be hidden during the discussion, but I suggest that, once the discussions finish, all the posts should become public.

OK, opening this place up to the light of the sun. If anybody has any objections, speak up!

I'm not a fan of keeping the Worlds board closed. Surprise or not, it's the most important MECCG event of the year, and deserves as much transparency as the rest of our deliberations. I realize it was just an example, but I wanted to throw that out.
