INFORMATION
The text of Strider doesn't actually state to bring the card you search for to your hand. This means his tapping ability has no apparent use. Searching through your discard pile is normally allowed by rule, so this ability does not add anything one cannot already do. The intent of the card is clear, but the language must be fixed for it to function properly.

BALLOT ITEM # 4:
Are you in favor of issuing the following erratum?

STRIDER
Change This:
Unique. Manifestation of Aragorn II. You may bring Aragorn II into play with Striderʹs company, removing Strider from the game and automatically transferring all cards on Strider to Aragorn II. +3 direct influence against the Rangers of the North faction. Tap Strider to search your discard pile for any one item, ally, or faction playable at his current site - the site must be in Arthedain, Cardolan, Rhudaur, or The Shire.
To This:
Unique. Manifestation of Aragorn II. You may bring Aragorn II into play with Striderʹs company, removing Strider from the game and automatically transferring all cards on Strider to Aragorn II. +3 direct influence against the Rangers of the North faction. Tap Strider to search your discard pile for any one item, ally, or faction playable at his current site. You may bring it to your hand. The site must be in Arthedain, Cardolan, Rhudaur, or The Shire.
(changes in bold for clarity)

CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR VOTE:
If you vote YES, then Strider will function as intended and you will be able to bring an item, ally or faction to your hand after searching for it.

If you vote NO, then Strider will remain unchanged. It will be up to each playgroup and tournament judge to decide if an item, ally or faction may be brought to hand after using Strider's search ability.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
- There are many other cards which clearly instruct you to take a searched for card into hand. A few examples are: All Thought Bent Upon It, Choice of Luthien, and Far-Sight. Strider is missing this instruction.
- In the event of a majority NO vote on this item, it is within reason to argue that Strider's controlling player may search but may not bring the card into hand.
