Here is the deck I played first time at Worlds 2019 in Lille.

Play tips

Characters
Bladorthin is Thranduil's Trusted Councellor, costing 5 GI for 6 DI.
Trusted Councellor reduces GI cost for Bladorthin by 3, but Bladorthin reduces GI of Thranduil by 3.
It's really bad, but on the other hand Bladorthin becomes the new avatar Lord if Thranduil dies.
So take great care about GI, only 14 when Thranduil enters play, until Lord of Wood and Beasts increases it by 2.
Characters must be Sworn to the Lord to protect them against Call of Home.

Legolas of Greenwood, being Prince of Mirkwood, costs only 2 GI, and becomes ranger and leader.
As a leader he can play I'll Report You to make company stronger.
He uses a Bow of Yew and benefits from Healing Song.

Glorfindel is the strongest character, the most suitable for the quest, and becomes latter Captain of the House which is useful against Nazgul.
Celeborn is the back-up of Glorfindel.

Calendal can join quickly the main company to destroy the Towers of Dol Guldur, thanks to his home site, and heal there.
Latter some Wood-elf will join the main company from Thranduil's Halls.
Arhendhiril and Nimloth have nice skills and can influence Wood-Elves.

Resources
Resource part relies on Gates of Morning.
Many Turns and Doublings cancel spiders-attacks, and reduce hazard limit. Don't forget to recycle them with Prince of Mirkwood.
The Evenstar boost one Elf and then each Elf.
The Cock Crows cancel troll automatic-attacks (Dol Guldur and Sulfur-deeps), and discard nasty hazard events.
If not enough, sideboard Star of High Hope and Lore of the Ages.


Hazards
Hazard strategy is based on The Enemy is Watching.
Being a key card, Dark Shapes Gathered There is great to recycle it.
Dark Shapes Gathered gives access to Awaken Denizens, Awaken Minions (great against Dwarf-lords), and Times are Evil.

Against Lord-players, Aware of their Ways upgraded to 6 cards has a good chance to remove a key card opponent is recycling.
This can ruin the opponent's strategy !
Recycle them when opponent reveals 2 cards at once, for example thanks to a Vampire.

Removing a random card from hand can be devastating too.
Harass opponent with Crebain, and recycle Rolled Down to the Sea with the Mouth of Sauron.


Companies move only in Mirkwood and thus aren't annoyed by No Way Forward.
Shifting Paths is a cool theme card in Mirkwood.

Additionally there are defense with hazards.
The Grimburgoth must move and reveal himself just afterwards. Otherwise he'll be overkilling by opponent ! (Withdrawn to Mordor is in sideboard)
Adunaphel must not be used before Sulhelka is played.
King-spider may benefit and discard opponent's Full of Froth and Rage and almost Protecting Their Domain.


Missions

Quick preparations
If you're lucky enough to have Aranruth in starting hand, play it with Bladorthin at Dead Marshes (aa cancelable by Many Turns and Doublings).
Bladorthin with Aranruth shines to 10 prowess and 8 DI.
Additionally, Elu Thingol's blade can untap a character thanks to The Evenstar !

Otherwise if Bow of the Galadhrim is in starting hand, play it with Legolas at Caras Amrath (aa cancelable by Bladorthin or Legolas).
Sideboard Great Bow of Lorien.
Bow of Yew Legolas had at start will be later given to a Wood-elf.

Destroying the Towers
Afterwards, or if none of these items are in starting hand, go to Dol Guldur to Destroy its Towers.
Stay there until quest is completed.
Trolls aa is cancelable by the Cock Crows.
Mission's first steps with Orcs and Trolls are easy.

Mission's third step with Nazgul needs preparation for the combo.
Sideboard before Lapse of Will which is very suitable and almost Sulhelka.
The extrem condition to play Sulhelka is here automatic.
Defeat the Nazgul with Bladorthin and play Sulhelka with Glorfindel.

Glorfindel with Sulhelka shines to 10 prowess and 5 DI.
Additionally, Celebrimbor's blade gives a permanent Bitter Cold for free !
As a side note Sulhelka fits well in Calendal's cold hand, from an artwork point of view :)

Mission's last step with Maia (Necromancer himself) needs preparation too.
Sideboard before The Old Thrush and recycle the cool theme card Desperate Strike.

The Great Achievement gives full MP for this quest.

Contested Powers
Build a second company around Thranduil.
When entering play, Thranduil must side to discard the following cards : Muster, Risky Blow, Desperate Strike, Mallorn-dweller, and Elven-handmaid.
The King's Hunting is very useful to recycle them.

This company is weaker so consider to play Wardens of the Woodland Realm as a protection, depending on opponent's hazard strategy.

Recruit Wood-Elves and Falcons of Mirkwood with Muster.
Tap a faction to flip Contested Powers to Wholesome Forest.
Now these factions can heal.
And Wholesome Forest is automatically completed with Towers Destroyed quest.

Either Clean the Greenwood or Knowledge of the Enemy was taken.
The coolest is the second one to free Kheleglin.
A mere Healing Song or a faction is needed to heal him.

Under-deeps
If you have time or not played any weapon before, go to Sulfur-deeps only if Dol Guldur isn't tapped (to move backwards).

There you can find/play Kheleglin and/or Aiglos.
Glorfindel with Gilgalad's spear shines to 10 prowess, 10 body and 6 DI.

As a trick Sulhelka is playable there thanks to your own Adunaphel as automatic-attack.

And Aranruth is playable there too.


Further sideboard

Legacy of Smiths is absolutely needed for the big weapons' MP.

For a long game, give Thranduil Sulhelka or Aiglos to let him become The Elf-king.
Free to Choose helps to protect him against corruption.

There are thematic hazards :
- Thranduil's Folk
- No Escape from My Magic
- Nothing to Eat or Drink
- The Dark Days

The Dark Days is my favorite as a nasty surprise for an Dwarf-lord opponent.
This is like the uttermost stage for Thranduil !
