Await the Advent of Allies and return of the King

Hi guys,
is Await the Advent of Allies (on an other character than aragorn ;-)) dicarded if you play return of the king at minas thirith on aragorn?

I think it is discarded because card text says: "...resource playable at the side..." and Return of the king is only playable in Minas Thirth, so at a side.
Anyonehas a different opinon?

Return of the King requires the site. All Awaits will be discarded.
The game is flawed, but this does not mean it cannot be loved.

In the CRF may be added one word "potentially", the side must not be tapped if it is already tapped and you play lets say a noble hound the Awaits are discarded as well i think.

Is there (an actual) resource that taps a site but does not require the site?
We will not speak of such things even in the morning of the Shire.
