The game is flawed, but this does not mean it cannot be loved.
Nice try Mr. Took, but listed on the faction is Standard Modification, so it would have to fall under the standard modifications, and not other modificationsBandobras Took wrote:Well, that depends on how you define "other cards."

But a standard modification *is* a modification, don't you see?

Both quotes (from Balrog and from initial post) just mention a Standard Modifications, they do not define a Standard Modifications.
We will not speak of such things even in the morning of the Shire.
I say that the hobbit characters only apply to the bonus for Ents of Fangorn faction.
Due to the fact that the "Hobbits" faction has "Hobbits" has a modification. WARNING: Infinite loop ahead!!!
Also, some METW factions has "Men" as a modification. Is that for any "Men of ..." faction. Of course not.
Good point to bring-up.
Look at what Vastor is doing with his text changing of MECCG cards.
That is what should of happened, as Fangorn would say, "a long time ago."
SIDENOTE:
Early in Lord of the Rings, a hobbit mentions at a bar that he say a walking birch tree in the North Farthing. Was that an Ent or an Entwife?

No infinite loop, but at best (worst) one run of the loop if influencing opponent's Hobbits faction.
Proper name "Hobbits" is identical to name of race.
"Men of ..." is not identical to name of race Men.
