Orc faction - overt?

Hello to all,

I was wondering if a covert company that successfully influences an Orc faction becomes an overt company.
My guess would be no, it doesn't, since the Lidless Eye rules state that
Any company that contains a Ringwraith in Fell Rider mode, an Orc, or a Troll is an overt company.
and also that
Once a faction is brought into play, it is not associated with any character or company.
Is this the correct interpretation?

Thanks.

Is a faction ever associated with a character?

No, according to the rules, it isn't. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing a ruling on this.

In the case where a leader influences one of the Minion Factions that allows you to place the faction with the leader, yes, but even then, factions are never listed as making a company overt.

Ach. So ability of Stone Trolls is exception from:
Once a faction is brought into play, it is not associated with any character or company.
And thanks to this exception the rule finally makes a sense.
