Ren the Ringwraith can use sorcery magic and shadow magic.
Can he use 2 magic resource events against the same attack ?
For example, "Veils of Shadow", to reduce the number of strikes of an automatic-attack to 1, and "Gold Chains in the Wind", to create an ally against the last strike ?

as long as it is an AA it should all be good,

but better use Hounds of Sauron and Chains

Because only relatively recently did the CoE issue an erratum allowing cards which affect strike assignment to be playable on automatic-attacks.
