A long-expected party sites

Post by Papylon »

So I found these sites nicely printed on photo-paper ready to use in play. My question is: Except for the Wards of the rangers does anybody play with these in casual games? Would there be any rules conflicting or any trouble using them with the rest of the sites? They seem to make Eriador based squatting decks much more viable.

Hi. I was one of the few lucky players to buy that product in the 1990s.
The store was Walden Books for those that remember it in the USA.
Those site cards are in gccg via the Dream Card bat file.

You will need to ask your opponent if it is acceptable to use the sites.
I have played one tournament (USA Bay area, September 2014) and the
sites were not allowed, IIRCC. My opinion is go ahead and use
any proxy cards - Mr. Suitcase left town a long time ago.

I believe all of the Long-expected Party sites are part of the dreamcard expansion, Return of the Shadow. So if you're playing in a DC game, I imagine they'd be legal.

Indeed, roughly half of them we have incorporated in ME: Return of the Shadow, the other half in ME: Kingdom of the North. So in DC games that include these expansions, they are legal.

Otherwise the Unexpected Party sites are used only in scenario games.

Upping the total number of sites in Eriador makes squat decks there stronger, not to mention Shire Shuffle decks ;-) But the sites themselves are not broken, overpowered, or conflicting with rules. They are original ICE productions.
