Hello, I have a question related to Tempest and other cards as Cram or We have come to kill
Tempest of Fire
Balrog specific. Playable during the site phase on an untapped Border-hold or Shadow-hold; the site cannot be an Under-deeps site or surface site thereof. Tap the site. The company faces three attacks (Men at a Border-hold, Orcs at a Shadow-hold 5 strikes with 8 prowess, 4 strikes with 9 prowess, 3 strikes with 10 prowess). Following these attacks: discard this card or tap a character, place this card in your marshalling point pile, and return each unique faction playable at the site to its owner's hand.
Some people tolds me that you can't use cram after attacks to untap a character and the tap to satisfy Tempest requirement because there is no action that generates a chain of effects and then is not possible to to response.

Then is possible to discard cram or play Whctk in response to the last action of Tempest of Fire that generate a chain of effects? for example the last attack or strike?

For example, I can discard the cram or play Whctk as response of the last strike of tempes?

Nothing may be declared between:

"The company faces three attacks (Men at a Border-hold, Orcs at a Shadow-hold 5 strikes with 8 prowess, 4 strikes with 9 prowess, 3 strikes with 10 prowess)."

AND

"Following these attacks: discard this card or tap a character, place this card in your marshalling point pile, and return each unique faction playable at the site to its owner's hand."

When
"The company faces three attacks (Men at a Border-hold, Orcs at a Shadow-hold 5 strikes with 8 prowess, 4 strikes with 9 prowess, 3 strikes with 10 prowess)."
resolves then
When facing an automatic-attack, you may play resources that directly affect the attack or would otherwise be playable during the strike sequence.
The same applies for facing attacks created by cards with multiple actions.

In strike sequence an action that untaps a character can be combined with action that cancels a strike.
We will not speak of such things even in the morning of the Shire.
