I'm starting to learn this game and have played two-handed the starter rules. I'm seeing options with movements based upon Regions and people using maps to move.

When using Region movements and the maps - do you still use Site cards as in the standard rules by tapping etc? Does that mean you most likely just visit a Site once per game unless you have a way to untap said site?

Whether region cards or map is used or not does not affect the rules regarding a tapping of site cards.

When removed from play surface the tapped non-Haven site cards go to a discard pile and then are returned to location deck when a play deck becomes exhausted. So they may be tapped (for any reason), discarded and then may be played again during the same game.
