Thanks Dirhaval,

Trying to reply to the PM, but they seem to just hang in my outbox. Please let me know if you didn't receive anything on your end.

hi i'm woody :)
I grew up playing Space Crusade as a kid and have played and collected all sorts of stuff as an adult, including MECCG. Recently I've been going through my old collection and a little flame has been rekindled in me and now at over 40 I'm daring to play with the rules again.
Considering how scary magic_tg looks these days ... 123412 versions of a card,
MECCG is a real beauty xD

Hi, I'm Tim.
I am brand new to the MECCG. I grew up plying an old copy of ICE's RIddle of the Ring and adored it. MECCG feels like a graduation to a more complicated design but one that has some familiar DNA (riddling, hunting for rings, etc.) I'm really excited to show this game to my board gaming friends and hopefully, start playing as often as they'll put up with. :D

Hi there,
Am I really the first to post in introductions in two years?

I found this place through BGG. I've heard of MECCG but never owned it or got to play it. I've been playing a lot of LotR: LCG and I saw a post talking about MECCG. That sent me down a rabbit hole (I still have a bunch of old MERP books which have some of the same art as the MECCG cards). That led me to Paul Grogan's playthrough of the game, which eventually led me here.

Seeing as how prices have gone up on the old sets and challenger decks. What's the best way of getting started these days? PnP?

(I'm not against online solutions. I just tend to prefer physical cards, as I already do enough staring at screens. Then again, I'm starting from nothing, so PnP is somewhat daunting.)
