2-19-2025 - Clarification to character limit (and lack thereof) for sideboard

An eagle-eyed questioner noticed a typo in the CoE rules document about the character draft (Rule 1.9), which previously suggested that leftover/duplicated characters from the draft could only be shuffled into the play deck if they didn't exceed the 10 non-avatar character limit of the "combined play deck and sideboard". However, per Rule 1.6, the limit of 10 non-avatar characters only applies to the play deck, not the sideboard (i.e. you can have as many non-avatar characters as you want in your sideboard, regardless of how many are in your play deck). As such, we have edited Rule 1.9 to remove that misleading reference to the sideboard, and also clarified Rule 1.6 to try to make this distinction clearer. Edits have been posted to the Change Log on https://www.councilofelrond.org/rules/ as follows:
(2025-02-19) Added clarification to the parenthetical in Rule 1.6 that the “allowed maximum” refers to the number of each specific card, and removed reference to “combined play deck and sideboard” from Rule 1.9 (Character Draft).
