Do you have to move with the special movement of Paths of the Dead in order to play Army of the Dead?
No. Army of the Dead can only be played by Aragorn II on the same turn that he plays Paths of the Dead, but it can be played regardless of whether his company actually moved using the special movement of Paths of the Dead. If Aragorn II is able to get from Dunharrow to Vale of Erech through some other means, he can play Army of the Dead as long as he played Paths of the Dead on the same turn.

I think that although text of Army of the Dead does not check for it, effectively the company of Aragorn II must perform the special movement described in text of Paths of the Dead.
Similarly there is an assumption that the company that is target of Belegaer, or Eagle-mounts will move.
Player may not play Belegaer on a company at Grey Havens and then decide that the company will move to Rivendell (for instance).
Player may not play Eagle-mounts on a company and then decide to move it using region movement (preferably to a
, or
).
Player controlling a target of A Lie in Your Eyes may not decide to not to choose any of listed options; one of them must be chosen.
P.S.
I see a need for rule that would forbid to use an effect that gives a company a special movement if it is already under such effect or decided to use other kind of movement. Currently nothing stops a playing of Eagle-mounts on company (with Lindion the Oronín) on company under effect of Belegaer.
The phrase "may move" is used but it is not an option that player may take or not take. I think that there is an assumption that the target company will move and the rest of the sentence is actually a restriction.Playable only at the end of the organization phase on a company containing Aragorn II at Dunharrow. The company may move to the Vale of Erech site. The only hazard creatures that may be played on this company are Undead, but any Undead may be played on the company.

We will not speak of such things even in the morning of the Shire.
