Creating Committees 2019-2021 Term

Next order of business is for the Chair to assign all Council Members to Committees.

Fellow Council Members: please list your committee preferences in this topic. I will of course honor all preferences so long as I am still able to comply with the Charter. Namely, each member must be placed on a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 2 committees. No more than 5 Council Members may serve on the same committee. If you need to brush up on the roles of the committees, please reference our Charter on the home page.

I will create a list here of preferences and keep it updated until all Council Members have stated preferences. Thorsten and rezwits already stated their preferences in the Appointing a Chairman topic:

For myself, I feel it's necessary for me to once again be on the Web Initiatives Committee and the Rules Oversight Committee (for continuity). This is not a first come, first serve, so please volunteer for the areas you are passionate about. If there are any issues which conflict with the Charter, we will work it out. :)

These three are the best fit for my experience:

Game Promoting and Public Relations Committee (GPPRC)

Dream Cards Committee (DCC)

Web Initiatives Committee (WIC)

I feel like I have the most to offer in the first two as I work in marketing and communications with a heavy emphasis on graphic design and promotion, but I’ve also done extensive work from an IT project management perspective.

Committees are now finalized. Thanks gentlemen for your engagement and dedication!

I am going to ask that each committee has an acting group leader who will be responsible to provide me with occasional updates and what is happening with your committee. This way I can better communicate to our MECCG community upcoming and current activities and agenda items. My group leaders for now (subject to change upon request) are notated below:
