Council of Elrond

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this board and to MECCG. I'm looking for a way to play online with a friend of mine who made me discover MECCG. I'm been looking in the Net MECCG direction but i got some troubles making it run under Win7 64bits edition (had to run through XP mode ...)

I've been searching through the web and found out GCCG, but i cannot make it run properly. I've seen on this board that the server adress changed, but event with this, i cannot make it run. I'm still getting the "connection issue". I think i've checked everything on the connection firewall, port, routeur), but still it won't connect. I've noticed the server was sometimes down, perhaps it's what happened when i tried it. So here is my questions, hope you have some answers :

- is there a website where we can check the status of the server ?
- has the server adress changed again ?
- is there a french version and/or french community in GCCG ?
- is it worth the effort of making GCCG work ?
