@cdnlife. Yes, the Arda Expanded world cards are cards from the standard game, but with a different card text. Most of what you mentioned in your list (except the VC sets) are totally new cards, so that's a different cookie. Of course you can play Arda with new cards as well, it's just a game format.

you can find the Expanded World cards done in mse (magic set editor), via svn in metw/development/arda.

I agree it is not most user friendly, you'll have to install svn and mse and then export the stuff. I'll find a way to make the whole thing available again in print-ready files, but that will be after November, right now I'm working hard on making DC First Folk a reality
(see http://www.councilofelrond.org/forum/vi ... =32&t=1864)

of course if somebody wants to help out, you're very welcome to.

Thank you. In your procedure description, it was not clear MSE had to be installed. To promote Arda, it would be simpler to gather all cards within the same downloading procedure, be it MSE or the one you used for MECCG.
I cannot help much, I never played MECCG. However, I'm curious and I want to develop a way to play all cards in my collection into one big shared deck, mixing Minions, Wizards, etc. I call it Arda Janus variant.
The active community seems extremely small. You certainly need encouragement and I can encourage you. Go on, keep developing good stuff, and if you ever go to Canada I offer a landing spot for you in Toronto.

@vastor
Thank you for the answer. This seems a tiny community of dedicated fans.
I came on GCCG SVN, found it rich but deserted. Extremely well done. However, as a total newbie, I can tell you this is not very user friendly. The "observe" feature didn't work when I tried. It would be nice to have a tiny tutorial or maybe you could just record a typical game as it goes and then display it on demand, in some kind of video with voice-off comments and explanation, just to demonstrate. It would do wonders for newbies. A simple link to YouTube would do the trick and would give visibility to your project.
Also, I desperately tried to find some kind of review of all the Dream cards sets, but to no avail. It'd be nice, for the newbie, to have a detailed description of the sets and what it is best used for.
At last, the integration with the sellers /traders of real meccg cards could be setup, for the benefit of you and the sellers. Also, the long term perspective of this project is unknown. Simplified rules would be needed however.

Roger.

I tried mse, to have a first look at the Arda Expanded World pictures, but it says that it can't find the "dc" stylesheet. It is nowhere to be found. It is a file with " .mse-style" as file extension. It could be placed in the folder "\metw\development\mse", so that the package would be complete and workable. Could you make it available? Temporarily, could you attach it here as file attachment, so that I could pursue the testing?
Roger.

Edit: I also found out the "vc" stylesheet is missing. I suppose all stylesheets are missing.
Edit2: okay, I eventually stumbled upon "http://www.councilofelrond.org/forum/vi ... =17&t=1460" which solves the problem, I think.

Well we used to have all Arda pics exported for gccg, but nobody played Arda online, as it's hard to manage and the program isn't made for multiplayer. So with the switching of the server I did not re-upload them.

Meanwhile the cards have been adjusted with many new experiences in Arda Expanded world games from last 3 years, but I haven't changed them in mse yet. I could re-export and upload them somewhere as they are, but that's a waste. Checking them all for changes is much work, thus it will be after the DC First Folk has been brought to completion.

Thanks for the encouragement, wanna help, spread the word, see the DC First Folk and get people to play it 8)

Would you be able to upload those to a different file host, like Mega.nz? Megaupload has been defunct for some time, so I can't access any of your links.

It was a great effort, but with the help of the new mse tool, all cards are now in full available for printing.

Playtesting at Lure once again proved these cards can be a very cool addition to spice up your Arda deck! Just ask anyone who's played the Arda Expanded World game, it's a blast to see Kili attack Saruman over the possession of some Gems of Arda, or to look through a Palantir and steal your opponent's cards...

All cards have been revised for clarity and easier playing.

For lack of server space I will not post all cards here, but just a few appetizers in small jpg's. I've got pdf's for high quality printing, available upon request, just pm me. The mse files are also available via svn.

cheers
Eric

edit:
For your viewing pleasure, and for those who don't have large inboxes at their disposal, the pdf files for the Arda Expanded World cards can be downloaded now; again, you can also find the mse files on svn if you want to do your own quality printing. Enjoy!

Hello Eric,

We built our Arda box for our playgroup in Athens and I wanted to print the cards for the expanded World. Unfortunately, the links from megaupload don't seem to work any more. Any chance you could send them via another way? Thanks a lot for the effort!
