I'm really looking forward to it! Two full days of playing cards.
I'm trying to decide what events to play in.
The one deck game, I'm still struggling to put together a deck to play.
I think I want to play in the Lidless Eye sealed deck, but I will have to bring my book because otherwise, I won't know what most of the cards actually say.
I was considering bowing out of the actual tournament on Saturday and playing in the Challenge deck tournament so I don't embarrass myself. But I've decided to say heck with it. I will just be embarrassed. I have to be able to say I played in a world championship tournament.
Anybody else? What are you planning on doing?

To the thread above I do not know about deciding over one game or the other. I like to play
as much as possible.

Dumb Question but it will help with the amount I am packing:
Will bath towels be provided? I know this is a mansion and not a hotel, but
packing bath towels will take up space in my single luggage bag that I could use for cards; I pack lighter than Bilbo.

Thank you.

Towels will certainly be provided. :)

We're allowed to arrive at the mansion starting at 3 PM. Please no one bother the host until then. :)

I have finally finished packing. I have Brian's decks, which he forced me to build and bring for him. If you want to know in advance what he's playing so you can meta-game him, send me a PM. ;)

Brief report from yesterday. The final four after yesterday's four rounds were Wolfgang playing a Balrog deck; Joe playing a fallen wizard, Mark Playing a hero deck and Sauron playing a minion deck. I'm not exactly sure that was the order they were in. So they are playing round robin in the finals today, but I'm not there. I will file report and photographs at a later date. It was a very good time. I'm really an Arda fan after this event. So much fun and so thematic.
More later.

This was my first tournament. I had fun. Well organized and friendly; just left my cards out and went to bed.
Lesson Learn: If there is any issue of a card's effect than ask an expert
before the game and not during.
I got a tiff when I read Trouble on All Borders wrong and Alone and Unadvised incorrectly as well.

Lesson Learn #2:
Put power hazards of popular decks in the playdeck else you will loose big.
I placed Nameless Thing x3, Gnawed with Words, Burden of Time, Redoubled Force,
Stormcrow and the like in the playdeck I played against Hero Elf Underdeeps deck and gave him trouble with these hazards.

More to come...

Wow, I haven't seen those photos in a long time! Thanks for sharing them. I'm told Ian wants a rematch in November and, frankly, I'm terrified!
