How do the slots for the national tournaments work? If a national champion doesn't show up for worlds, does the vice-champion get the slot for the main event? And what about if the second doesn't show up? How far is potentially the national slot "transferable"?

From what I know the standings at last national championchip count. We can guarantee byes to people who are coming beforehand only.

The problem with this is that if someone who has a bye shows up unannounced on saturday, someone who didnt play qualifier because he thought he would get the bye is out.

So all with byes, report in.

And Bruce: can you show me a standing of last Italian championships?

That's the right link. By the way, I'm the one who got 7th. Actually, the chances that any one of the first six classified shows up are roughly 0,0001%. :)

Anyway I'll arrive on friday, so that I'll be able to play the qualifier if I have to.

I don't know how other national councils handle it but for the US if an American was going to Worlds in Europe and there were available open slots and they had participated in a tournament they could be granted a bye.

But yes all byes should be arranged before the tournament.

Bruno,

if you preregistered and no top 6 shows up, you're in. Can you provide me with a list of names though for safe-checking.

Gents,

As much as I'd like to have a seed my name should not be in the list as organizer of Euro Championships. It is Antonio Flores who deserves the priviledge.
