Alternate Company Limit Rules

This seems like the best place to put forth ideas for alternate play, so here goes:

An idea struck me this morning -- what if company size were limited not by the number of characters, but by the number of MPs such characters provide?

This would provide a less clunky framework for accommodating Bilbo and all the Dwarves.

So the rules would go:

• Companies have a 9 MP limit, but no limit to the number of characters

• Play for characters that give MPs is handled as normal

• However, for characters that do not give MPs, any number may be brought into play during the organization phase, and may be played regardless of the presence of your avatar

• Gimli and Legolas do not give MPs for this purpose when in the same company

• Ditto for Merry and Pippin

Indeed, the MP limit could be adjusted to provide for more powerful or less powerful play, depending on preference. It could be an interesting tool to shake up play.
