I have a question about whether or not a Dwarf -Lord player can include the hero version of The Iron Crown in the play deck.

If you look at pg.17 of the Durin's Folk player's guide you will see the items that are considered "Treasure". Note that The Iron Crown is not included. But, now look at pg. 115. Here The Iron Crown is included. On pg. 21 it says that The Iron Crown minion resource can't be played.
So can a Dwarf-Lord player include the hero resource version of The Iron Crown or not??

you can include the Iron-crown hero version, due to the minion version being really strong on a hero hobbit, the minion version is banned for Dw-lords. we will look into the quotes you added - The Iron-crown is for sure a treasure item, DW-lords may play minion battle-gear items, Elf-lords ring and treasure items if I am not mistaken
