At Lure IX in 2009 the Minion Cool Play Scenarios were tested in a Hero & Minion Cool Play Tournament.
Playtests have proven that Minion Cool Plays were unbalanced.
Minion Cool Play Decks did always lose against Hero Cool Play Decks.
For further discussions and improvments the Minion Cool Play Scenarios will be posted in this thread:

M1) Gothmog pillage the village Minas Tirith (2)

The Lieutenant of Morgul rebuilts a stronghold at Amon Hen (Hold Rebuilt and Repaired) and gathers a faction (Snaga-hai) and siege engines (Grond) to raise against Minas Tirith in order to burn it down (Smoke on the Wind).

M2) Gorbags bad conscience (2)

Gorbag has a bad conscience about the cowardly murder on Lagdulf and Muzgash, who tryed to escape imprissonment in Cirith Ungol. He becomes an apprentice of dark magic (Magical Ring of Shadows) and back in time befor death of Lagdulf and Muzgash he got a second chance. Right at the place where the two passing away he rescues them by resurection (Freeze the Flesh) and escortes them to Cirith Ungol until end of game under direct influence (Lagdulf and Muzgash won’t be discarded by a bodycheck of 8 but you can play Freeze the Flesh).

M3) Mauhúr and his Foul Tropies (2)

While secretly watching Palantír (Mauhúr uses the Palantír of Orthanc) Mauhúr dislikes a scene from Lord of the Rings the two Towers. At the morning after the fight of the Rohirim versus a group of orcs at the edge of Fangorn Forest there his head is pierced with a lance. Thats it thought Mauhúr and decides to collect his own trophies in Edoras (Foul Trophies from automatic attack) and Dunharrow (Foul Trophies from automatic attack) from the behated Rohirim.

M4) Ulkaur wanna talk (2)

Ulkaur the Toungeless can not talk any longer and has to birch his follower Lieutenant of Morgul with Where there’s a Whip… in Barad-dûr! NEW: "No more need for Shut Yer Mouth in play."

M5) Wolves where ever you look (2)

Once opon a time in an extremly cold and long winter it happened that the 3 wolf factions and allies where summoned to a gathering (min. 4 wolf allies). They were crule beasts that attacked own men (min. 3x Our Own Wolves was played).

M6) Dúnedain in awkward situation (1)

A group of Dúnedain (min. 3 characters) were foulish enough to get mixed up with accomplice. Now they got allies in there own rows, they became an overt company that has to visit a few sites. This sites have automatic attacks that covert companys may pass with detainmant attacks. Well they have to get bloody fights at those city gates (min. 3x).

M7) Naín, Son of Grór, Lord of the Shire (2)


Who wanna be Lord of Moria anyways? There are earth-caves in Bag-Ends too as well as good food, right Balin? Bag-Ends is a shadowhold [ [-me_sh-] ] and Naín is there (at end of game). Except for his Ringwraith the player has only Dwarven characters in play (min. 3 at end of game).

M8) Men in Black (1)

Asternak, Míonid and Ivic have got the Black Hide Shield, Black Mace, and Black Mail Coat and play Blackbole, Black Trolls, and Black Númenóreans. The player wears shades and a black top (t-shirt or overall) while the whole game, because anything else wouldn’t be cool playing this themedeck!

M9) Bolgs campaign (2)

Bolg plays the Greath Army of the North (min. 4 unique orc factions) and has a bat as well as a wolf ally.

M10) Elves in search for Palantíri (3)

At a bath-accident of Arvedui the last king of Arthedain at the Ice-bay of Forochel (Lossadan Cairn) the Palantír of Annúminas and the Palantír of Amon Sûl got lost. Also the Palantír of Osgiliath got sunk in the floods of the Anduin while a clanbrawl in Gondor, it got flushed to Edhellond since hundred of years. A company of brave Elves (min. 3 at end of game) have there goal to recover those stones.

M11) Hoarmûrath is cold (1)

Hoarmûrath influences the Ice-orcs and plays 3x Bitter Cold while keep moving, he moves to a new site each turn.

M12) Akhôrahil the blind Sorcerer casts blind away (2)

Akhôrahil plays two different spells of each kind: sorcery, spirit-magic, shadowmagic and there are the following items in his company Magic Ring of Shadows, Magic Ring of Delusion and Magic Ring of Weals.

M13) The Witch-king has lost his keys (2)

Arnor were at odds each other and divided in three parts: Arthedain, Cardolan and Rhudaur. In memories, to wipe out the last Dúnedain and legacy of Isildur that admittedly only exisit in Arthedain he declare war on Arthedain and Cardolan. Rhudaur was corrupted and joined The Witch-king (The Witch-king influences the Hillmen). The Witch-king plays Riven Gate at two different sites (Bree, Old Forest and the automatic attack can be canceled!) because he lost his keys to the sites and burns them down to the ruins (Burning Rick, Cot, and Tree).

M14) Dwar the Ringwraith and The Warg-king (1)
“Who let the dogs out?”
Muhahahahaha . Dwar does.
Dwar put a leach on the Warg-king (Dwar plays The Warg-king) and rides 2x Orc-mounts.
NEW: "You do not receive any additional Cool Play Points for killing characters with wolf hazards."

M15) NEW: Minion Women Power (?)


M16) Khamûl and the Long Grievous Siege (3)

Khamûl the Ringwraith calls his tribe brothers to arms (Khamûl influences the Easterlings and the Southrons). With his small army he besieges the bandits of Raider-hold and the pirates of Gobel Mírlond (Long Grievous Siege played on Raider-hold and Gobel Mírlond). However he notice that he misses some items from this sites and has to send troops to get them back (there has to played an item in each of the besieged sites).

M17) NEW: "Indûr and Ûvatha scenario will be split M17 and M19"


M18) Join Ren or join your grave (2)

Ren with his Helm of Fear and the Creature of an Older World does not tolerate rivalry on
his claim to power. The Balrog either joins his army or has to be eliminated. The Dragon Smaug either joins his army or has to be eliminated.
